Make Metro Part of Your Weekend

Metro Bike Share Community RideFA > Metro Bike Share is sharing the love of riding this weekend with a breezy 5-mule community bike ride from DTLA to Exposition Park and back, with a midpoint pit stop at California African American Museum. It’s free to join in, with Metro bikes available to rent for free for participants 16+. Ride runs 12 to 2 p.m. The start/end location is 12th and Valencia St. More info here.

Go Metro: Take the A or E Line to Pico Station (it’s about a 5-minute ride from the station to the starting point of the meet-up).

Pasadena Black History Festival FA > This year the Pasadena Black History Festival will focus on recovery within the community amidst the ongoing tragedy caused by the Eaton Fire. Taking place at Robinson Park this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. the event feature live bands, dance performances, community booths, guest speakers, and food for purchase. Dre Day LA 2025 @ Echoplex – > It’s all Dre all the time this Saturday at Echoplex. Dre Day LA, now in its 10th year, brings a night of Dr. Dre-related material to the DJ booth with a mix of classics, productions, album cuts, rarities, and samples. The lineup includes Dre Day All-Stars (a.k.a. West Coast legend BATTLECAT) J.ROCC (Beat Junkies / Stones Throw) along with INKA ONE (Boombox) + DJ EXPO (The Root Down). River Sessions | Mile 25: Poet Laureates on Wheels LA Wildfire Benefit Ride -> LA River Arts’ series exploring portions of the Los Angeles River takes to two wheels this Saturday, as they’ll team up with BiciCrófono Los Angeles Poet Society for a group resilience ride to raise fire relief funds. Poets from across Southern California will be joining for the ride, and the event will be highlighted by special musical guests Juan Flautista, an Los Angeles-based poet, vocalist, and lifelong musician and flute player with Latin and Blues Rock influences.
