It’s Sunday and we here are again, back in the triple digits. Not ideal, but we’re still scouring the scene for ideas if you want to test the heat.

On deck for today in Los Angeles you’ll find Americana in the Park in Santa Monica, the Los Angeles Kids Book Festival, a Chicano art exhibition at Beyond the Streets, Oktoberfest at Far Field, a Little Ethiopia Street Festival, and more. Take caution with the heat, but enjoy your day!

Dedicated to You at Beyond the StreetsFA > Dedicated to You celebrates the essence of Chicano art through compilation of photography by Estevan Oriol alongside works from the late artist Teen Angel, whose eponymous magazine became a touchstone for lowrider culture and tattoo artistry. The exhibition is set to close on September 15, so there is only one week left to check it out. The gallery, located at 434 N La Brea Ave, is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free.
