2. [FREE] Friday Flights at the Getty is back this year with another round of live interdisciplinary artist performances. Experience epic art, live performances and scenic views at one of L.A.’s most popular museums. FRIDAY
3. [FREE] Shakespeare By The Sea returns with free performances for the summer. This weekend (June 16-17) they’ll be performing Taming of the Shrew at Point Fermin Park in San Pedro. While admission is free encourage donations to help support the play. FRIDAY-SATURDAY
4. [FREE] The Levitt Pavilion in McArthur Park will kick off their annual free concert series this weekend with The Mexican Standoff, Nancy Sanchez, Sin Color on Saturday and Cumbia Cosmica on Sunday. SATURDAY
5. [FREE] The Paley Center for Media will host Transformers Through the Years: A Super-Saturday Family Screening Celebration. Enjoy an afternoon of screenings of old favorites including Transformers Prime and Transformers: Beast Wars as well as a premiere screening of Transformers: Robots in Disguise. Complimentary Transformers toys will be available for the first 350 children in attendance! SATURDAY
6. [FREE] Fred 62 is turning 20! The Los Feliz retro diner will be celebrating by serving up complimentary minis of menu food and drink classics from 9 p.m. to midnight (or until the food runs out) this Saturday. SATURDAY
7. [FREE] CineMalibu is hosting a free movie screening of Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971) in Malibu Bluffs Park. SATURDAY
8. [FREE] Grand Performances presents Gaby Moreno and Caloncho at California Plaza. SATURDAY
9. [FREE] The 25th Annual Pasadena Chalk Festival returns to the Paseo on June 17 and 18. The free two-day festival will feature hundreds of unique chalk creations throughout the shopping center and sidewalk. SATURDAY-SUNDAY
10. [FREE] Ticked away in the hills of Griffith Park is another magical place courtesy of Walt Disney – the Carolwood Barn. Check it out yourself when the barn holds an open house this Sunday, giving guests of all ages a chance to come and experience this local treasure. SUNDAY

- L.A. Weekly’s 5th annual taco festival is back for 2017. Taking place at El Pueblo de Los Angeles, Tacolandia offers some of the finest gourmet tacos from over 120 curated vendors. - Pasadena’s Norton Simon Museum of Art is throwing a garden party. - The 12th Annual LAWineFest returns (June 17-18) for two afternoons of unlimited wine tastings. - The Autry Museum of the American West presents Play!, a new exhibition focusing on toys and games featuring over 100 historic objects from the Autry’s collection.
