The COVID-19 pandemic has hit our food and beverage industry hard, forcing all restaurants to halt dine-in service. But by ordering pickup or delivery, you can help those still in service stay afloat. We’re now going to share some of our favorite local takeout, pickup, and delivery deals every Friday. So, if you’re up for a #treatyourself weekend, take a look at our list for this weekend below. And don’t forget to tip! Our hospitality workers need it now more than ever.
Petty Cash in the Fairfax District has reopened through the app Tock. Purchase its $21 at-home taco kit to unlock an offer for a $1 Cimarron Blanco Margarita. Petty Cash is open for pickup Wednesday through Saturday, 4-9 p.m.

Casa Vega reopens for takeout with a drive-thru on Saturday, May 2. That means you can once again feast on the San Fernando Valley’s most beloved Mexican institution. Don’t forget to order some margaritas, too!
Tex-Mex spot HomeState is open in East Hollywood, Highland Park, and Playa Vista for takeout or delivery. You can get a Spicy Paloma for $7. Or, get margaritas pre-batched at three for $20 or 12 for $75. Food options include brisket tacos, chicken quesadillas, and queso & chips. For $20, get enough enchiladas to serve 12 people.
Tlayuda L.A. in East Hollywood is open for takeout and delivery via GrubHub and Postmates, offering meals for two people, family meals, and the regular menu. Check out the under-$5 menu where you can score three street tacos, potato taquitos, or chilaquiles.
One of the best taco spots in L.A., Carnitas El Momo in Boyle Heights, is taking orders by text at (323) 627-8540. Order 24 hours ahead for next-day pickup.
Barba Kush in Boyle Heights is still doling out piping hot lamb barbacoa and some of the best handmade tortillas in the city. $16 can get you a pound of barbacoa. See the full menu here. DM through Instagram for Sunday pickup.
Both of Lola’s Mexican Cuisine’s LBC locations are open for delivery on Postmates. On Saturday, May 2, Lola’s will celebrate its 12-year anniversary with 32 oz. pitchers of Lola’s Margarita for $12. Family Packs are also available, including ready-to-bake enchiladas that serve 4-6 people for $65. On Tuesday, May 5, Lola’s will offer its signature Tijuana tacos and al pastor tacos for $3 in honor of Cinco de Mayo.

Asadero Chikali Mexicali food truck in East L.A. is open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Its handmade tortillas and guisados are an excellent way to celebrate the weekend. Menu items start at around $2!
You can still pick up Mariscos Jalisco’s legendary and affordable crispy shrimp tacos, plus the rest of the seafood menu, at three of food truck locations (Boyle Heights, Gardena, and Pomona). Call ahead to place your order.
Poncho’s Tlayudas is selling Oaxacan-style, banana leaf-wrapped tamales at $3 each. Options include verde, mole, Amarillo, and frijol. Available for Sunday pickup in South Los Angeles. DM Chef Martinez through Instagram to place your order or order through the Poncho’s Tlayudas website.
South Central Yucatan food stall Chichen Itza is offering family meals through its website for takeout. Options include Chichen Itza’s famous cochinita pibil by the pound ($14, feeds two), pollo asado ($45, feeds four), and a panuchos party tray ($23). Delivery is available through apps Postmates and UberEats, Friday through Sunday.
Get your mariscos fix from Holbox in South Central. The critically acclaimed food stall is offering plenty of takeout options, including family meals, cook-at-home meals, and a seafood market. Consider the Taco Family Meal for $45. The kit includes six seafood tacos (Baja fish, octopus, and scallop) on handmade yellow corn tortillas, half a quart of ceviche mixto, saffron rice, black beans, pico de gallo, guacamole, and chips & salsa.
Silver Lake’s 58-year-old Casita Del Campo is offering its full menu including Sunday brunch and cocktails for pickup (call to order) or delivery through apps Postmates, Grubhub, and Caviar.
Guerilla Tacos is available for delivery and pickup. Emergency Taco Kits ($82-$155), an Emergency Nacho Kit ($42), and an Emergency Pina Colada kit ($31) are a few of the large format items.

Broken Spanish is offering a Cinco de Mayo promo for curbside pickup through Tock. For $23 per person, the meal comes with shrimp ceviche, three hand pressed tortillas, your choice of taco filling, Masienda corn chips, plus salsas and pinquito beans.
Sonoratown is open for takeout and delivery. Call (213) 628-3710 for pickup/curbside delivery or order delivery on Caviar. Big appetites can order the Burrito 2.0, stuffed with your choice of fillings and topped with guacamole, chiltepin salsa, pinto beans, and Monterrey Jack cheese for $9. Pair your meal with a six-pack of Tecate Light for $8.99
All El Gallo Giro locations are offering a $24 family meal that includes two pounds or either carnitas or chicken, plus beans, rice, tortillas, and salsas. By one agua fresca and get the second one 50% off when you opt for takeout. The regular menu is also available for takeout and through delivery apps DoorDash and Postmates.
Burritos La Palma in El Monte is open for takeout. Their super famous burritos are $3.25 each or make it a combo with three burritos and a soda for $11.40.
Oaxacan restaurant Madre in Torrance and Culver City is open for delivery on apps including Chownow, GrubHub, DoorDash, Postmates, Caviar, Delivery.com, and UberEats. There are pre-bottled cocktails, like the popular Smokey Margarita, that serve six people for $38. And if you choose to celebrate Cinco de Mayo on its official day (next Tuesday), you can take advantage of Madre’s Taco Tuesday special of three tacos and a margarita for $16.
Chicas Tacos in Culver City and DTLA is offering taco combos ($10-$20); a two-pound, bake-at-home, open face, deep dish taco for $16, and more.
Cacao Mexicatessen in Eagle Rock is open for takeout and delivery. Peek the temporary menu here, where you’ll find tacos, burritos, mole enchiladas, tortilla soup, and more. Family meals are also available for $49.99. They serve 4-5 people and include 12 tacos, cilantro lime rice, beans, chips, salsas, and taco toppings.
Pablito’s Tacos, located in Burbank and North Hollywood, is offering contact-free pickup and delivery of its Peruvian-inspired dishes. Score a lomo saltado burrito for $10.99 or Peruvian-style tacos for $2.99. If you have a lot of mouths to feed, the Pablito’s Crazy Family pack comes with tacos, mulitas, quesadillas, churros, and drinks 8-10 people ($100). Order online through the restaurant’s website.
Burritos Locos is a new concept from The Madera Group (Tocaya Organica, Toca Madera). They specialize in hefty burritos, like the Pablo’s Spicy Beef, the Nashville Hot Chicken, or the Beyond Ridiculous vegan burrito. Beer and soft drinks are also available. Order through Postmates daily from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Trejo’s Tacos has a ‘Trejo de Mayo Celebration Box’ that includes a family meal for four, a four-pack of Trejo’s Cerveza, and two 16 oz margaritas for $99. Available at the taco shop’s La Brea and Cahuenga locations Order pickup or delivery through Postmates or ChowNow, now through May 5.
