San Diego Comic-Con, like everything else, is online only this year. That might be disappointing if you love dressing up and getting into the festivities, but at least you can avoid crowded convention halls from the comfort of your own home. Here’s what you need to know to enjoy this year’s event.
Comic-Con@Home takes place July 22-26. There are over 350 scheduled panels that you can stream for free on Comic-Con’s website or YouTube channel. There are tons of educational offerings, plus panels for fans of Star Trek, The Boys, Solar Opposites, and more. Each day’s schedule is posted online. Just choose which panels you want to see, add them to your online schedule if desired, and click when it’s time to watch. No badges are required and best of all, no lines.

If you’re interested in panels that happen at the same time or overlap, not to worry. You can catch them later on YouTube.
Comic-Con is famous for announcements, which may still happen. However, with delayed production schedules due to COVID-19, you might not see some of the trailers or announcements you would have otherwise.
There are also several at-home activities you can do. Challenges include making sidewalk art, dressing up in cosplay, or volunteering locally. There are also recipes and downloadable signs and audio to turn your home into a Comic-Con experience. For example, you could make this onion dip:
There’s a masquerade costume competition. Entries are full, but you’ll be able to check out the submissions online starting July 24. The judges will announce the winners on July 25.
Visit the exhibit hall starting July 22 to browse and shop from a large list of vendors. Expect exclusive collectibles from Mondo, Funko, Mattel Creations, and more.
