PRIDE has arrived. For June 10-12 in Los Angeles, LA Pride’s Saturday concert in L.A. State Historic Park and the Sunday parade in Hollywood take center stage, but if you’re looking elsewhere this weekend you’ve got plenty of options.

There’s Queer Family Day at NHM, a Spicy Green Book Food Market in the South Bay, Summer of Salsa at LA Plaza, special drag shows at The Bourbon Room, the Little Tokyo Flea Market, Getty 25 in Koreatown, an American Indian Arts Marketplace at The Autry, and MUCH more. Things To Do

Hollywood Fringe  -> Dozens of venues, including The Broadwater, The Hudson and Three Clubs, host a huge slate of comedy, ensemble theatre, dance and immersive performances during the the three-week run of the annual Hollywood Fringe Festival. Runs June 9-26. More info here.

Summer of Salsa -> The LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes Summer of Salsa series runs one Friday each month through the end the summer, highlighting some of city’s best salsa and Cuban bands in the process. On June 10, the series continues with TROMBOR along with DJ Willie. Culver City Arts District Night Market -> The Culver City Arts District Night Market at Ivy Station is a monthly event featuring over two dozen vendors and and plenty of local bites for purchase. Free to attend. Runs 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday. More info here.

The Bourbon Room Hollywood -> All who’s who of top drag queens will be at The Bourbon Room this weekend to celebrate PRIDE. The lineup of events include “DRAG: The Musical Live!”, Trixie Mattel’s LA Pride Pink Party & DJ Set, an All Day Pride Party hosted by Manila Luzon and Bob the Drag Queen will throw a Dance Party & DJ Set too. Jazz at LACMA -> This Friday at 6 p.m., the Los Angeles County Museum of Art brings the Anthony Fung Quartet to Smidt Welcome Plaza as part of the ongoing Jazz at LACMA series, which continues every Friday evening through June 24. Admission is free, however seating is limited and first come, first served. More info here.

Pride Fridays at Melrose Rooftop Theatre -> West Hollywood’s Melrose Rooftop Theatre will be screening some of the most iconic LGBTQIA+ films every Friday throughout the month of June. Choose between two ticket options: a general admission screening ($35 per person) or a VIP package complete with a three-course dinner from E.P. Restaurant ($65 per person).  

Little Tokyo Flea Market -> This Saturday, a monthly flea at Terasaki Budokan puts the focus on vintage street fashion, accompanied by DJ’d tunes and food trucks. Free admission. Runs 3 to 9 p.m. More info here.

Queer Family Day at NHM -> This Saturday The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County will host its first-ever Queer Family Day. The day will feature a rainbow-themed scavenger hunt, dino dance party, drag queen story time, up-close encounters and more. Activities run 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event is free with museum admission.  NHM general admission tickets are $15 per adult, and $7 for kids under 12. More info here.

Summer Evening Stroll at The Huntington -> Enjoy the gardens during twilight hours on select evenings at The Huntington from June through September. This Saturday, admission for the after-hours strolls starts at 4:30 p.m. Advance tickets ($20 per adult) are required.

Spicy Green Book Food Market  -> On Saturday, Spicy Green Book returns for their second annual Food Market in Manhattan Beach featuring an all Black lineup of vendors. Support Black businesses while exploring delicious food, shopping indie and taking advantage of family friendly entertainment including a carnival. Free to attend. More info here.

LA Pride -> The official LA Pride event relocates this year to within the city limits of Los Angeles, where you’ll find a pair of big events scheduled for this Saturday and Sunday. Day one features a ticketed concert at L.A. State Historic Park headlined by Christina Aguilera. Day two brings the annual LA Pride Parade, a free event that will include over a hundred floats spanning the heart of Hollywood Blvd. More info here.

American Indian Arts Marketplace -> This two-day (Saturday and Sunday) showcase of vendors at The Autry features more than more than 200 Native American artists representing more than 40 tribes. In addition to shopping for one-of-a-kind arts and goods, guests will enjoy live performances from Native Voices, the Autry’s resident theatre company. Single-day admission starts at $14 per adult. WTF NFT? -> On Saturday, The Hammer hosts an-all day event offering a primer to NFTs (non-fungible tokens) for the uninitiated. There will be expert panelists, technologists, scholars, and artists, a keynote by comedian/musician Reggie Watts, and an afternoon happy hour to conclude the event. Free to attend. More info here.

Grand Performances -> The signature free summer music series at California Plaza continues on Saturday with a double-bill featuring L.A.-based vocalist Aditya Prakash and jazz pianist Nick Smith. Free shows continue on Fridays through Aug. 25. More info here.

Getty 25 in K-Town -> This summer, The Getty celebrates its 25th anniversary via a series of free pop-up community festivals held throughout Los Angeles County. Each event highlights curated experiences reflective of the host community, including interactive workshops, live music and performances, an artisan marketplace, food trucks, giveaways, photo booths, and more. This Saturday and Sunday, the series pops up in Koreatown. Future Lovers Block Party -> Following the official LA Pride Parade on Sunday, an all-day music event brings three stages of music to the area near Hollywood and Vine. Tickets start at $40 per person. More info here.

Last Remaining Seats -> The Los Angeles Conservancy’s annual series Last Remaining Seats features classic film screenings in some of Los Angeles’ most beautiful and historic movie theaters. This Sunday, catch a double-feature of The Immigrant (1917) and The Kid (1921) at The Orpheum, or head to Los Angeles Theater for a screening of Blade Runner: The Final Cut (1982). In Sheep’s Clothing Record Fair -> The In Sheep’s Clothing Record Fair returns this Sunday for an outdoor daytime market featuring record sellers, Japanese clothing, good, gifts and shaved ice from Kuramoto Ice Kakigori. Homage Brewing will also be on hand offering beer, natural wine and seafood bites. 

Brewyard Art Festival -> The 4th Annual Brewyard Art Festival is a family and pet-friendly Sunday Funday filled with beer, artists, vendors, food, live music and live paintings. Free to attend. 

PEARL POOL PARTY -> PEARL POOL PARTY is a weekly Sunday pool party for the entire LGBTQIA+ community featuring a photo area, DJs, drag performances, queer vendors, and more. Happening at Le Parc Suites Hotel Pool through September 4. Tickets start at $15 per person. A portion of the proceeds for the LA Pride (June 12) event will go towards the Trans Wellness Center in Los Angeles.

Sunday Funday at The Wallis -> The Wallis wraps up its 2021/22 Sunday Funday series with live music for kids and families performed by Parker Bent followed by African dance with Titus Fotso and live drumming. All levels welcome. More info on the series here.

Grandmaster Recorders Pride Rooftop Party -> This Sunday, head to a PRIDE day party on the rooftop of Grandmaster Recorders. General admission is free while a fast pass will cost $25 and come with express entry and a complimentary drink. More info here

Japanese Sando Pop-Up -> Mami Yamamoto of moon and sun is currently popping up on Sundays at rykn café to serve her signature tamago and katsu sandos. Yamamoto was previously the pastry chef at two Michelin-starred n/naka. Available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the two sando options are offered in half portions, full, and a mix of both.

Danny Trejo x Kim Chi Donut -> Trejo’s Coffee & Donuts and Kim Chi of Rupaul’s Drag Race and owner of KimChi Chic Beauty have created a “COME4ME by Kim Chi” donut inspired by Kim Chi’s catchphrase “Donut Come for Me.” The eye-catching goodie is filled with taro cream cheese, and topped with a white chocolate taro glitter glaze, passion fruit buttercream, candied dragon fruit and passion fruit flakes. The COME4ME donut ($4) is available June 10-30. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Seniors Fight Back, a charity working to stop hate against AAPI seniors.

DESERT HOUR at Desert 5 Spot -> Western rooftop bar Desert 5 Spot just launched a brand-new happy hour featuring $3 tacos, $6 beer and wine, as well as $9 cocktails. DESERT HOUR runs Wednesday through Friday from 6-8 p.m.

Moo’s Craft Barbecue 1 Year Anniversary -> For the month of June, Lincoln Heights Moo’s Craft Barbecue will host “Moo’s and Friends” each weekend with guest pit masters bringing their specialties to the East L.A. restaurant. This Saturday, June 12 Heritage Barbecue will stop by with their open fire grill serving up a Korean marinated smoked Harris Ranch Prime Tip, Banh Mi Tacos and Pork Belly Musubi.
