Things To Do For Saturday
Skirball Family Amphitheater Performances -> A new kid-friendly series at Skirball spotlights a dazzling lineup of artists who use music, dance, and storytelling to keep their cultural traditions and family histories alive, encouraging audiences to sing, dance, and interact with performers. Included with general admission tickets. This Sunday’s event features Bloco Obini, an all-queen drum ensemble of artists, activists, teachers, and students celebrating African culture. Grand Opening of the Sixth Street Viaduct -> Saturday’s public opening festival for the brand new Sixth Street Viaduct has come and gone, but if you want to give it a walkthrough (or pedal) before vehicles take over, the span will be open for pedestrians and cyclists to explore on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. No ticket needed. CicLAvia South L.A. -> CicLAvia’s next open-streets event comes to South L.A. this Sunday with a route covering portions of Vermont Square, Harvard Park, Chesterfield Square, Exposition Park, and King Estates. With the streets closed off to vehicular traffic, guests of all ages can bike, skate, run, walk, or skateboard at their leisure, and check out pop-up activities along the route.
