For April 7 to 9 in Los Angeles, you’ll find First Fridays at NHM, the Love Isn’t Blind live dating show, Egg Bowl at The Rose Bowl, an Egg”straordinary Pancake Breakfast & Egg Hunt in San Gabriel, the AniFest Anime Festival, a George A. Things To Do for Easter Weekend

First Fridays at NHM -> Natural History Museum’s signature monthly series returns this Friday with Space,Time and Beyond. The evening includes live music, DJ sets in the nature garden, pop-up experiences throughout the museum and a discussion between Dr. Yewande Pearse and author, graphic novelist, Harvard Fellow and New York Times Bestseller John Jennings. First Fridays run 5 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $20. Cosplay is encouraged! More info here.

First Fridays in Chinatown -> Galleries, restaurants and other creative businesses in L.A. Chinatown band together for an evening of extended hours every first Friday of the month from 5 to 9 p.m. For the April edition of the event, guests DJs Damon Palermo, Phil Cho, and Tsugu Itagaki will spin tunes all night long in Chung King Plaza. First Fridays in Bixby Knolls -> First Fridays in Bixby Knolls are back this week with a “Long Beach County Fair” edition of the monthly art walk. Expect pop-up activities, live performances, arcade games, a farmers produce contest, and plenty special deals at businesses along Atlantic Ave in Long Beach. Runs 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Free to attend. Love Isn’t Blind -> Love may or may not be blind, but is it deaf? This Friday, Love Isn’t Blind brings its unique, live dating show/experiment to Townhouse Venice. So how does it work? Well, a group of men compete to go on a date with an eligible bachelorette… the only catch is the men can’t speak during this game but the women can! Show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 pre-sale of $25 at the door. Get more info here.

Modern Parlor Magic -> Storyteller and magician David Carlo brings an immersive evening of entertainment to the Biltmore Los Angeles Hotel for a two-month engagement beginning this Friday-Sunday. Inspired by Victorian-era parlor shows, Modern Parlor Magic features plenty of illusions, mystery, close-up magic, mind reading… and even a deadly bullet catch. Tickets start at $59. The Slam at The Yard Theater -> Three comedians vie for the attention of one real-deal poet at this sarcastically-minded evening of comedy, coming to The Yard Theater in East Hollywood this Friday. This month’s lineup includes John Milhiser (SNL), Leanne Velednitsky (Funny or Die), Cheyenne Perez (The Sex Lives of College Girls) Tolliver (The Late Late Show with James Corden), and host Annie Paradis. Egg Bowl -> The City of Pasadena’s Egg Bowl brings a free community egg hunt to the Rose Bowl on the Saturday before Easter. Spring festival activities will run onsite at the stadium from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Keep in mind reservations (free) are required to attend the hunt. More info here.

Easter in the Park -> La Canada Flintridge hosts their 26th annual Easter in the Park celebration this Saturday featuring egg hunts, kids entertainment, a petting zoo, raffle, and more. Runs 10 a.m. to noon. Free to attend. More info here.

Egg”straordinary Pancake Breakfast & Egg Hunt -> The City of San Gabriel and the San Gabriel Kiwanis Club are hosting the 78th Annual Egg”straordinary Pancake Breakfast & Egg Hunt on Saturday. The event includes a morning of family-friendly activities and a visit from the Easter Bunny. Runs 7 to 11 a.m. Free to attend. More info here.

Self-Care Yoga -> Yoga and meditation instructor Constance Hartwell leads a 60-minute self-care yoga session at the California African American Museum this Saturday. Free to attend with RSVP. Starts at 11 a.m. All experience levels welcome. More info here.

5th Anniversary Party at Common Space -> Common Space Brewery celebrates their 5th Anniversary on Saturday with live music, tarot readings, merch, and new beer releases. Starts at noon. Free to attend. More info here.

AfterHours Night Market -> AfterHours Night Market brings 100+ vendors and creatives to DTLA’s Art District this Saturday, including tattoo artists, nail techs, piercers, live artists, and more. Free to attend. Runs 5 to 11:30 p.m. More info here.

AniFest Anime Festival -> On Saturday, AniFest presents a jam packed day full of anime-specific activities such as outdoor Japanese gaming tournaments, mini-concerts, industry panels and workshops, an artist alley with anime-inspired creators, cosplay contests, food trucks, and about 100 vendors selling exclusive merchandise. When There’s No More Room in Hell! -> This Saturday, Sugarmynt Gallery in South Pasadena hosts an opening reception for When There’s No More Room in Hell!, an art exhibit celebrating the life and films of iconic horror director George A. Romero. The reception runs 6 to 9 p.m., and the exhibit remains on view through May 31. More info here.

Vine & Vinyl on the Roof -> This Saturday, Vine and Vinyl on the Roof brings wine tasting and L.A.-inspired cars to the rooftop of Grand Central Market. Expect tasting pours from Good Boy, Jumbo Time, or Wonderwerk, alongside a lineup of 25+ inspired cars curated by Cars and Coffee and vinyl records spun by Que Madreinfo Each $25 ticket gets three (3) tasting tickets and entry into the event. Bugs Bunny Matinee -> American Cinematheque is hosting a Bugs Bunny matinee for Easter Sunday featuring 90 minutes of classic Warner Bros. Cartoons. Tickets are $13. Starts at 3 p.m. More info here.

Sunday Funday at The Wallis -> The next edition of Sunday Funday comes to The Wallis with a kid-friendly performance by Parker Bent, plus a dance session with the Debbie Allen Dance Academy. The event starts at 11 a.m. on the Promenade Terrace. Free to attend. No RSPV necessary. More info here.

Little Fish at Melody Wine Bar -> Little Fish is taking over Melody Wine Bar Thursday and Friday with a pop-up menu featuring a cheezy crab on Ginza Nishikawa toast, a beer battered fish sandwich and more. No reservations are needed, simply walk in between 5-10 p.m. to take advantage. 

Kinn x Bistro Na’s Dinner -> There’s an exclusive collaboration happening this Sunday in the San Gabriel Valley with Chefs Ki Kim of Kinn and Chef Tian Yong of Bistro Na’s. The one-night-only dinner takes place at Bistro Na’s in Temple City and showcases chefs Ki and Tian’s Chinese and Korean cooking styles and flavors. A five-course tasting menu will feature individual dishes from each chef and a collaboration effort on dessert. Reservations are going fast and additional tickets were recently released and cost $150 per person. More info here

Open Market’s 2-Year Anniversary Party -> Open Market, the Koreatown cafe and wine shop with killer sandwiches, celebrates their two-year anniversary this Saturday between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free and open to the public, food will be provided by CASH ONLY, featuring Chef Jessie Nicely of Burmese Please and Chef Dave Potes. Standstill Tea is also onboard providing tea sessions. Music to set the vibe will be courtesy of DJ RPM and CATCH24 and Little Tokyo Table Tennis is setting up ping pong tables outside if you’re feeling sporty. More info here

Top Easter Menus for under $100 per person

Agnes -> Old Town Pasadena restaurant and cheesery Agnes serves up American brunch classics with a playful twist. On the menu this Easter Sunday is Sticky Toffee Pancakes with medjool dates, toffee caramel, and whipped cream; Braised Bacon Benny with braised pork belly, poached eggs, cheddar biscuit, and old bay hollandaise; and a Pimento Cheese Omelet with arugula and tomato salad. Guests can celebrate in Agnes’s two outdoor spaces or indoors in their dining room which was a former horse stable built in 1922 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Easter Sunday brunch is served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Reservations can be made here

Sparrow -> Sparrow Italia housed in Downtown’s Hotel Figueroa will host a decadent Italian-inspired brunch buffet on Easter Sunday. The spread includes charcuterie, an omelet station, carving/hot station featuring leg of lamb and roasted salmon; to a seafood bar and dessert station. The Sunday brunch buffet cost $85 per adult and $40 for kids 10 and under. Reservations can be made via Open Table.

The Hideaway -> Rodeo Drive’s The Hideaway will offer a four-course Easter menu priced at $65 per person. The Mexican steakhouse has curated a number of items to mix and match, including chicken empanadas, lobster avocado salad, short rib enchiladas, and more. There are also vegetarian items on the all-day menu. Reservations can be made on The Hideaway’s website here

Tapizon -> On Easter Sunday Tropical California fusion restaurant Tapizon in El Segundo will feature a Moqueca Carrot Seafood Souffle. Served in a cast iron bowl is a version of a Tapi pot pie made of a fresh seafood stew with coconut milk and topped with a carrot souffle. Guests are also treated to a complimentary tropi-cali Mimosa. Reservations can be made on Tapizon’s website here

Soulmate -> Step into Soulmate in West Hollywood for Soulful Sunday Brunch. Everything is a la carte, there’s an unlimited Mimosas or Rosé option for $35 and the restaurant transforms into a day club with a DJ from 1-4 p.m. Brunch items include Pork Belly Benedict, Torrijas Brioche French Toast and Huevos Rotos with Kennebec potatoes and jamón serrano. Brunch is served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations can be made here

Caldo Verde Easter Extravaganza -> Caldo Verde located in the Downtown L.A. Proper Hotel will offer a three-course brunch menu that comes with market fruit, deviled eggs and chorizo Manchego scones for the table, followed by a choice of main for each guest such as Schaner Farms’ egg omelet and brisket hash. The meal concludes with an extravagant dessert buffet. Easter Sunday brunch is served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and costs $95 per person; $45 children 12 and under. Reservations can be made here

Gasolina -> Spanish cafe Gasolina in Woodland Hills will feature an affordable three-course brunch menu as well as a la carte favorites like patatas bravas and Turron French Toast. The prix fixe menu includes starters such as strawberry gazpacho, to skillet eggs with seasonal vegetables and a garlic shrimp sandwich. Cocktail specials include a Kinna Sunrise and the Bunny Mary during brunch. Easter Sunday brunch is served from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Reservations can be made here.
