We can’t think of a better way to kickstart 2024 than with a flourish of amazing music and artistic expression. And over the next few months at Walt Disney Concert Hall, the stage is set for a remarkable run of concerts and performances. The possibilities are… well maybe not endless… there is A LOT going on.
You can catch innovative operas with Das Rheingold (Jan 18, 20–21), Last Days (Feb 6), and Fidelio with Deaf West Theatre (May 16–17). Or perhaps the thrill of movement will inspire you to see choreographer/dancer Benjamin Millepied’s UNSTILL LIFE (April 9)
Perhaps you’ll witness the magic of Gustavo Dudamel in programs ranging from the music of Brahms and Bruckner (Jan 26–28) to Strauss’ Don Quixote (May 2–5) and Dvořák’s “New World” Symphony (May 9–12).
The season’s jam-packed calendar also includes the era-defining Dirty Projectors with the LA Phil (March 2), NEA Jazz Master Dianne Reeves (March 3), the titan of Brazilian Tropicália Caetano Veloso (March 31), the powerful pairing of Silvana Estrada and Cécile McLorin Salvant (May 31), jazz legend Herbie Hancock (April 20), and more.
Plus, in an newly announced series, German electronic music pioneers Kraftwerk celebrates the massive impact of their career and the incredible depth of their repertoire, performing one album a night, starting with Autobahn for its 50th anniversary (May 21–26 & 28–30)
