Noche de Estrellas at AoP -> The Aquarium of the Pacific stays open this Friday with Noche de Estrellas, a vibrant celebration featuring DJ sets, drumming and dance, mariachi, lotería games, and a live performance by Latin rockers Sonsoles. GA tickets start at $24.95. Event runs from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. More info here.

LA Marathon -> This year’s Los Angeles Marathon is a weekend-long experience that includes a two-day expo at Dodger Stadium (Friday and Saturday), a 5K, the LA Big 5K, the Charity Half Marathon and of course the big race on Sunday. Photo Walk in Griffith Park with Fujifilm and Luminar NeoFA > On Friday Fujifilm and Luminar Neo will host a free photo walk in Griffith Park with experts there to up your photo game. All you need is your camera and some sturdy walking shoes. More info here.

Ratchet Rabbit NightM FA > With Bad Bunny making a three-night stop at Crypto this week, Angel City Brewery is paying home to the “King of Latin Trap” with an evening of reggaeton beats and hip-hop grooves this Friday from 8 to 11 p.m. Free admission. More info here.

Street Food Cinema “Great Gatsby Night” -> This Saturday, Street Food Cinema presents a “Great Gatsby Night” at the historic Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills. Don your best art deco outfit, learn the Charleston (there will be lessons), and dance to a live jazz band. It’s a full on party before the movie screening. Tickets start at $25 a person. Hermosa Beach St. Patrick’s Day ParadeFA > The City of Hermosa Beach celebrates St. Patrick’s Day on Saturday with a parade and special activities set up at the Hermosa Beach Pier including live music on multiple stages and an LA Rams Experience. More info here.

Something to Crow About at ESMoAFA TP > On Saturday performers and puppets from the Bob Baker Marionette Theater head to the Experimentally Structured Museum of Art (ESMoA) in Lawndale for a special live performance in gallery space. Free to attend, and all ages welcome. Runs 3 to 4 p.m. More info here.

Metro Bike Share Women’s History Community RideM FA > Participate in the Metro Bike Share Women’s History Community Ride this Saturday. The ride will take you through five locations that hihglight important spaces for women from women-designed architecture to significant spaces tied to women’s rights. The 4.9-mile ride starts at Union Station West Portal and loops through Downtown LA.

L.A. Premiere of John Cameron Mitchell’s ‘Cassette Roulette’ – M TP > This Saturday, CAP UCLA is hosting the premiere of ‘Cassette Roulette’ at The United Theatre on Broadway, featuring one of alt-culture’s boldest creators, John Cameron Mitchell, alongside international cabaret star Amber Martin. Join them for an evening of songs, stories, and characters randomly selected from their extensive repertoire. Special guests will also be making appearances. Ticket prices range from $40 to $61. From Canvas to Screen at The Norton Simon Museum -> The Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena presents a selection of films that encapsulates some of history’s most celebrated works of art. Held on consecutive Saturdays this month, the films are free with general admission to the museum on a first come first served basis. This weekend they’ll screen Metropolis. The Theater opens 30 minutes before screening.

Tam O’Shanter St. Patty’s Day Bash -> Tam O’Shanter throws an epic St. Patty’s Day celebration this Sunday in the parking lot of their 100 year old establishment. The day includes Irish food, live bands, Guinness Kegs, green beer, raffles and more. There is a $10 cover to enter the tent this year. VIP tickets cost $149 and include a separate patio, drink tickets, complimentary food and an exclusive bar featuring Tullamore Dew and Guinness on the patio with hourly $2 drink specials. Sierra Madre Wistaria Festival -> The 2024 Wistaria Festival returns this Sunday to Sierra Madre with an up-close of “The World’s Largest Blossoming Plant.” The main festival takes place in Downtown Sierra Madre with over 100 arts, crafts and food vendors alongside The Sierra Madre Auto Show. A shuttle (ticketed, $5-$15) will be available to take visitors up to see the record-breaking vine. Just a fair word of warning: We haven’t spotted any photos of this year’s bloom online, so there’s no telling if the vines will be as purple-y as in some years past. More info here.

Benny Boy Brewing St. Patricks Day PartyFA > For St. Pattys Day Benny Boy will have green beer all day long, a new Irish Stout release, festive eats, and a special edition of Live Band Karaoke from 6 to 9 p.m. on Sunday. No cover. More info here.

César Chávez Family Day at LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes M FA > On Sunday celebrate activist and labor leader, César Chávez with a day of dance and art, culinary and garden workshops and guest performances by the Tierra Blanca presenting a theatrical presentation of the life of César Chávez, the Santa Monica Youth Orchestra, Y Arriba Mexico and DJ Ani and DJ Sol. Free to attend. St. Patricks Day Dance Party -> Gin Rummy in Venice is throwing a St. Patricks Day Dance Party this Sunday from 3 to 7 pm. aside from the live music the bar will be offering drink specials all day long that include pitchers of Green Big Wave Ale, Irish Car Bombs and more. Plenty of food will be on offer as well as giveaways galore. No cover. More info here.

NHM Butterfly PavilionM > The Butterfly Pavilion at Natural History Museum of Los Angeles returns this Sunday, offering guests the chance to admire hundreds of butterflies, native plants, and caterpillars all in one place. Tickets to the Pavilion are $8, which is on top of regular museum admission (starting at $18 per adult). Runs through August 25, 2024. More info here.

Ready for ResedaFA TP > On Sunday, LADOT and CicLAvia are teaming up for a cycle-centric afternoon of fun celebrating the new protected bike lanes and safety features on Reseda Blvd. While Reseda Blvd will remain open to cars (unlike a regular CicLAvia event), you’ll be able to join guided group rides between Victory Blvd and Saticoy St, and there will be multiple activity hubs featuring music and street games. St. Patrick’s Day Chaotic Singles Party -> This Sunday, see if you have the “luck of the Irish” by attending a Chaotic Singles Party at The Waterfront in Venice Beach. The rules for joining the party are simple, you must be single, chaotic and 21+. In turn guests will enjoy cocktails, play games and mingle with fellow singles. Tickets start at $15. More info here.

St. Patrick’s Day Festivities at The Original Farmers Market FA TP > On Sunday the annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration returns to The Original Farmers Market for a day-long event featuring Irish fare from select vendors, drink specials and traditional Irish musical performances including a strolling Bagpiper! Sunday Supper at Shirley Brasserie Inside Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel -> Shirley Brasserie, situated within the iconic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, offers a family-style Sunday Supper every week from 5 to 10:30 pm. Priced at $55 per person, guests can enjoy a three-course meal curated by Chef de Cuisine Craig Hopson. The meal commences with a salad of shaved vegetables with Herbes de Provence vinaigrette, and then the national dish of France – Pot-au-Feu as the main course. The broth based dish is made with boiled boneless short rib, bone marrow and root vegetables. For dessert an Apple Galette with rum and raisin ice cream is served. Shirley Brasserie’s complete à la carte menu is also available on Sundays.
