Die Hard at New Beverly -> The greatest Christmas action flick of all time (a bold but true claim) comes to New Beverly Cinema on Monday and Tuesday for for 35mm screenings heading into the holiday. Advance tickets have sold out online, but there will be additional tickets to purchase at the door on a first come, first served basis on the day of each show, approximately 1 hour before showtimeGet more info here.

Arturo Sandoval Swinging HolidayM > Grammy-winner Arturo Sandoval steps to the stage of the Walt Disney Concert Hall this Monday, bringing a jazzy selection of holiday favorites as part of the LA Phil’s Deck the Hall music series. Show starts at 8 p.m. More info here.

LA Christmas Market -> ROW DTLA’s ongoing European-inspired Christmas Market closes things out with its final two day this Monday and Tuesday. Expect holiday decor, baked treats, festive activities, and seasonal music, all spread throughout dozens of open-air booths offering seasonal delights like soft pretzels and hot chocolate, as well as handcrafted items from local artisans. LA County Holiday CelebrationM FA > On Tuesday, the 65th annual L.A. County Holiday Celebration returns live to The Music Center with a diverse lineup of L.A.-based artists performing holiday favorites. If you can’t make it out for the show, remember the performance will also be broadcast on PBS SoCal and streamed live on pbssocal.org. Runs 3 to 6 p.m. More info here.

Matzo Ball at Bootsy Bellows -> Matzo Ball, the annual Christmas Eves, Jewish singles bash is coming to Bootsy Bellows in West Hollywood this Tuesday. If you’re 21-49 and looking for a late entry into cuffing season, this one is for you. GA tickets start at $55.20. Party starts at 10 p.m. More info here.

Free Rides on Metro for Christmas EveM FA > Need a lift on Christmas Eve? As part of their holiday service, Metro will be offering free rides on all bus and rail service on Dec. 24, beginning at 4 a.m. through Wednesday, Dec. 25 at 3 a.m. The fare gates at all Metro Rail stations will be unlatched, and fare boxes and validators will not deduct fares from TAP cards and fare media.

Lights on DisplayFA > One of the most elaborate home lighting displays of the holiday season is back in Sherman Oaks. Resident Mike Ziemkowski has a brand new edition of Lights on Display for 2024, and per usual you’ll find an elaborate mix of computer controlled lighting, DMX controlled intelligent light, and a bevy of animatronic characters synched to a pre-programmed playlist of holiday tunes. The experience is free to check out, and will run Wednesday to Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. (weather permitting) through New Year’s Day. La Bota at Brouwerij West -> San Pedro’s Brouwerij West will be winding down operations as the page turns 2025, but not before they host a few blowout events, including their final edition of La Bota this Friday. Expect at an evening of DJ-spun tunes, live music, dancing, food trucks, craft beer and micheladas. GA ticket start at $17.45. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. More info here.

Dive into Squid Ink Sepia Paccheri Pasta in lobster-vodka sauce, King Crabby Cavi-Bombs, and Latkes with smoked salmon.
