St Patty’s Drag Bingo at The Godfrey -> To Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, The Godfrey Hotel hosts an evening of Drag Bingo on Monday. Expect plenty of prizes and fabulous outfits. Late night happy. Bingo starts at 6 p.m., and a late night happy hour runs from 9 to 10 p.m. More info here.
St. Patrick’s Day at Truly LA – M FA > Truly LA’s hard seltzer taproom goes green for the day this Monday. They host a variety of St. Patrick’s Day specials, including Loaded Irish Fries, Reuben Sandwiches, Irish Cake Pops, and festive drinks like the Irish Piña Colada and Mojito Jell-O Shots. Benson Movie Interruption -> What’s better than seeing a terrible/awesome movie with your friends and making fun of it while you watch it? How about live commentary from some of entertainment’s funniest movie lovers. This Monday at Dynasty Typewriter, Doug Benson hosts a “your choice” version of his Movie Interrupted series with special guests including Jon Hamm, Sabrina Jalees, Zach Galifianakis, and Joe Lo Truglio. Attendees are invited to bring in a Blue Ray / DVD of their choice, and the audience will vote on what to watch before the show begins. Trivia Night at The Propagator -> Every Tuesday at The Propagator Taproom in Venice, Geeks Who Drink hosts a free trivia session beginning at 7 p.m. Teams can have up to 6 players and you are playing to win, unique Firestone Walker prizes, plus players can order a special $22 pizza and a pint deal. This month, catch a special conversation with Nobel Prize-winning astrophysicist Dr. Andrea Ghez. The program is free to attend, but you’ll want to arrive early to ensure you get a seat. A Calabrian Aperitivo Hour at Civico 2064 -> Civico 2064 in Los Feliz brings Italy’s aperitivo culture to life with a happy hour featuring traditional and vegan Italian bites priced between $8–$12. Holy Basil Pops Up Across LA -> Holy Basil takes over kitchens across town this month, starting with a one-night collaboration at Tsubaki in Silver Lake on Tuesday. Chef Klementine Song and Chef Deau Arpapornnopparat blend their signature styles into a four-course, nine-dish menu featuring mash-ups like Grandma’s Fish & Rice in Onigiri form and Moo Krob Yakisoba ($138 per person, with an optional sake pairing). Then, on Wednesday and Thursday, Holy Basil heads to the westside, popping up at Josiah Citrin’s Augie’s on Main to serve their Holy Burger and Crispy Rice Salad from 3:30 p.m. until sold out.
asterid Relaunches Happy Hour -> asterid in Downtown LA brings back its happy hour, now available nightly with a lineup of shareable plates and bar-only exclusives priced between $9-$25. Dig into the asterid Burger, stacked with cheddar, asterid sauce, caramelized onions, and B&B pickles; Duck Wings, paired with persimmon hot sauce; and Grilled Lamb Ribs, glazed with vadouvan BBQ sauce.
