Each year the American Film Institute celebrates the art of filmmaking through a extended showcase of emerging and established artists who’s work is screened at a handful of venues spread throughout Hollywood.
This week, they’re back!

The 2015 AFI Fest kicks off this Thursday with a premiere screening of Angelina Joile’s By the Sea and continues over the following seven days with a myriad of screenings, filmmaker conversations, and special tributes, concluding on November 12 with a screening of Adam McKay’s The Big Short.
But the best part? FREE tickets are available to the public (while supplies last).
In order grab the free tickets you need to sign up for an account on afi.com, then you can go to individual events to try to add them to cart (it’s annoying you can’t see if an event is full before you create an account, but hey, at least the tickets are free).
Here’s the complete schedule of events and screenings for the 2015 AFI Fest.
For additional questions, I’d advise checking out the ticketing FAQ page on the festival’s official website.
Enjoy!
