Posted by Yesterday evening Christina and I had the unique pleasure of attending Christmas at the Bradbury, a chamber music concert of holiday compositions performed by Spanish Brass at the historic Bradbury Building in downtown Los Angeles.
Although photography and video was not permitted during the concert itself, I did manage to snap a few pics before things got started.

Below I’ve created a rundown of some of the choice shots I was able to take before and after (including my first experience getting to the top floor of the Bradbury and looking downward).
Really hoping the organizers make this Christmas affair an annual tradition, because it was absolutely spectacular!

The Spanish Brass quintet literally moved from stage to stage throughout the concert while still continuing to play. At one point they were even playing a song while riding up the elevator!

Really enjoyed the arrangements chosen by Spanish Brass for the concert. Lots of jazz and latin influences created a unique vibrancy and energy. Personal favorite: The Charlie Brown Christmas tunes they did to close the show.

The Christmas Concert at The Bradbury Building was organized by Da Camera Society of Mount Saint Mary’s University, who will be hosting a series of concerts at historic Los Angeles venues over the coming months for their 2015-16 season. Locations for upcoming concerts include the Greystone Mansion, the Doheny Mansion and Wayfarers Chapel (among others).
If Sunday’s show was any indicator, the future concerts ought to be well worth checking out.
