You may remember last year we did a quick write-up on Royce’s Arcade Warehouse, a long-time valley gem that during week operates as an arcade rental, repair and retail shop, but on Saturdays opens up its doors to the public for a full day of free play.
Yes, FREE!

Prior to 2016 the Saturday free play days went from 9:00am to 4:00pm, but Royce was kind enough to contact us before turn of the new year to inform us hours would be changing as of January 2.
For me it’s kind of a good news / bad news situation.
The downside? They’re cutting the Saturday free days to 10:00am – 3:00pm. 2 less hours of play.
The good news? They’re still providing free arcade play every Saturday. Hard to argue the virtue of that with a lineup of Cenitpede, Galaga, Frogger, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter II, Marvel vs. Capcom and more!
Royce has his fingers crossed El Nino will be kind enough to take a siesta for Saturday as folks roll in to enjoy games.
As I write this blog post the weather for Chatsworth is calling for a party cloudy more with increasing chance of showers into the afternoon and evening.
Maybe (if the weather abides) you’ll find your way out there. And if not tomorrow, perhaps another time in 2016.
Royce’s Arcade warehouse is located at 21817-A Plummer St., Chatsworth, CA 91311
Enjoy!
