According to a new poll conducted by Loyola Marymount University and sponsored in part by KPCC, 88 percent of Los Angeles residents surveyed are in favor of their city hosting the 2024 Olympics.
Brianne Gilbert, associate director at the Thomas and Dorothy Leavey Center for the Study of Los Angeles at LMU, told KPCC that support for games was extremely broad across all geographic and demographic groupings. In fact no grouping of the 2,425 respondents sampled had less than 80% support.

According to the poll the primary justification for support among advocates was the perceived economic boost and job creation that the games would bring.
In contrast, most who were not in favor of the games cited either traffic, congestion or costs issues as their primary concern.
Coincidentally (or not?) a new promotional video was just published yesterday by the LA 2024 Bid Committee on their YouTube Channel.
