Looking for a way to enjoy the artistry of dance like you’ve never seen it before?
Moves After Dark is hitting The Music Center this August and We Like L.A. is hooking it up for one lucky contest winner with four tickets to the Aug. 15 performance.
Wait, we know what you’re saying… what exactly is/are Moves After Dark?
Well, here’s the skinny…
Moves After Dark takes place on ‘off nights’ when the Music Center would normally be unused.
During each engagement attendees move around various non-traditional dance spaces (it’s standing room only) where the artists are performing and select their own vantage point.
Audiences are then guided in rotating groups, watching separate performances simultaneously, and then ultimately joining together at the end of the evening for a final performance. The result is a surprising reimagining of architectural space and a totally unconventional way to experience the art of dance.
Pretty cool, right? And entry for free tickets is a snap.

Keep in mind even if you don’t win you can still purchase tickets to Moves After Dark for only $30.
There are four performances scheduled throughout August all featuring four remarkable female-led companies: Blue13 Dance Company, Decadancetheatre, Invertigo Dance Theatre, and Viver Brasil Dance Company.
Performance dates are Monday, Aug. 8, Monday, Aug 15., Tuesday, Aug. 16, and Wednesday, Aug. 17. Each performance begins at 8:30 p.m and lasts approximately 2 hours (wear comfy shoes!).
Parking is $5 after 8 p.m. at the Music Center lot.

Giveaway Rules & Restrictions
- Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to qualify
- One entry per Instagram user. Duplicates comment entries will be not be counted.
- Last entry will be tallied on Thursday, Aug. 4 at 5 p.m. PT.
- Winner will be drawn at random from the list of entrants collected via Instagram.
- Winner announced via this blog post and on Instagram by 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4.
- An Instagram direct message will be sent notifying winner, who will then have 24 hours to claim the prize. If prize is not claimed within 24 hours we reserve the right to choose another winner from the pool of entrants
