Big Bar is bringing back the “Largest Margarita in Los Feliz” this time it’s made with Mestizo Mezcal Blanco
Petty Cash is throwing an all-day party for the big day starting at 11 a.m. and will stay open late, until 1 a.m. with a DJ, balloon artist, and drink specials.

Gracias Madre will offer all day and night specials including Cazuela Cocktail for Two ($20) made with El Charo Blanco, Mandrine, Lime, Lemon, Yuzu Bitters, Grapefruit.Trio Los Brillantes will perfrom at 4pm for guests.
Umami Burger will offer a special drink created exclusively for Umami Burger called Rande’s Spicy Margarita. The margarita is made with Casamigos Blanco, muddled serrano peppers, fresh lime juice, orange juice, house-made simple syrup and a PAMA infusion topped with Xicaru Mezcal, Cointreau foam and thinly sliced serrano pepper.
Available until May 12 for $11. One dollar of each sale will go to the American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.
Hopdoddy Burger Bar special is The Skinny Dip a 7 oz Coronita Beer dunked into a goblet of frozen margarita, made with gold tequila, fresh citrus juices & house-made triple sec. Only $5 during happy hour, which is Monday – Friday from 3 – 6:30 p.m. at both the El Segundo and Playa Vista locations.
The Mixing Room at JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE celebrates with $4 tacos all night long, live music and a DJ to spin you into the night. Taco options include a Lechon Taco from a whole roasted pig and a Shrimp Taco with roasted poblano and black garlic, accompanied by house-made salsas. Cocktails for the night include a Mexican Mule, a Tequila Sunrise mimosa, and if you’re tequila-out the bar also has a nice selection of beers.

Food Bowl Kicks Off a Month Long Festival in L.A.
Clear your schedule for the entire month of May, a massive 31-day food festival showcasing the diversity and flavors of L.A. is here. The much anticipated L.A. Times Food Bowl is the first of its kind and will include citywide dining events, a Night Market held at Grand Park in Downtown and a number of rare international pop-up’s curated by the team at the L.A. Times.

Tacos + Beer = Your Weekend Plans
The L.A. Taco & Beer Festival heads to Raleigh Studios in Hollywood on Saturday May 6 to bring Angelenos unlimited pours of craft beer, unlimited taco tastings, original art for sale, DJ’s, games, hand rolled cigars and more. General admission tickets are $50 and VIP tickets are $70. VIP tickets get you early entrance at 1 p.m., access to a VIP-only lounge, specialty beer tastings and tequila and mezcal tastings.

Masters of Taste Food Festival returns to the beautiful Pasadena Rose Bowl this Sunday on May 7. Mama Lion Debuts
Mama Lion is officially open for business. Chef Michael Hung is at the helm for this one (Faith & Flower and Viviane.) The supper club is located in Koreatown and draws its flavors from California with a Korean twist. For now the restaurant is open for dinner only.
Best thing we ate this week….
Lawry’s The Prime Rib is as classic as it gets and I love it. From the service, the famous spinning salad bowl to the meat being carved right in front of your table. It’s something you have to experience at least once. As for me I will be back!
