Friday July 21st, 2017

1. Downtown Dark Nights returns this Friday with a free soirée at L.A. LIVE that includes loads of entertainment like muralists, stilt walkers, street dancers and contortionists. Guests can also shop from local craft vendors and enjoy $5 drink and food menus at participating restaurants.

2. The L.A. Zoo’s annual Roaring Nights is back with an awesome assortment of music, food trucks, animal encounters, new exhibits and more. This week’ theme is country, guests are encouraged to dress up! Check for discounted tickets before making your purchase. DISCOUNTED (via Goldstar)

3. The Music Center’s Dance DTLA series returns this week with Dance Downtown Bollywood at Grand Park. FREE

4. Pershing Square kicks off their free summer movie screenings this Friday leaning heavy on sci-fi and fantasy movies for the season. This week, Underworld  will be screened. FREE

5. Enjoy some free Shakespeare this summer when the Independent Shakespeare Co. returns for the 8th year in a row with free/donation-based performances at the Old Zoo in Griffith Park. Measure for Measure will be performed Wednesday through Sunday.

6. The 2nd Annual Delicious Little Tokyo returns to the heart of Little Tokyo Friday July 21 through Sunday July 23 for a historic neighborhood foodie experience. The weekend will feature culinary demos, food tours, workshops and one-of-kind activities at various Little Tokyo shops and eateries.

7. Los Angeles based fashion label Greylin is having a sample sale July 21-23. Shop new pieces, past favorites and more with prices starting at just $10.

8. dineL.A. returns for summer with 15-days of celebrating Los Angeles restaurant culture from July 14 to 28. 9. The Groundlings: The Completely Different Late Show is a hilarious improv show by the cast of the Groundlings’ Main Company. 22. The folks at Rooftop Cinema Club are back this weekend with a screening of In Bruges at LEVEL in Downtown Los Angeles.

Saturday July 22nd, 2017

23. KCRW’s 2017 edition of Summer Nights is a free all ages outdoor music series happening throughout the summer. This Saturday they’ll take over the Annenberg Space for Photography with Paul Oakenfold, Mondo Cozmo and Lo Moon. FREE

24. Street Food Cinema this Saturday features two screenings on Saturday: Pretty in Pink at Syd Kronenthal Park Culver City and The Goonies at Victory Park Pasadena. DISCOUNTED (via Goldstar)

25. L.A.’s only live animated comedy show Picture This! is back with a free show on Saturday at The Virgil where the bar will be fully stalked and a taco truck will be parked outside for your dining pleasure. FREE

26. Dodger Stadium Movie Night returns with a game against the Atlanta Braves, followed by a screening of 42: The True Story of an American Legend.

42. Topanga Vintage Market happens on the fourth Sunday of every month at Pierce College in Woodland Hills with over 170 of Los Angeles’ best vintage, antiques, and collectibles dealers.
