A man reportedly died on Thursday while receiving a massage treatment at a local Glendale spa. Glendale fire personnel attempted to resuscitate the man with CPR, then transported him the Glendale Adventist Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

According to the Glendale News Press:
“The man was reportedly lying on his back while getting the massage at about 10:40 p.m. at the spa in the 500 block of East Broadway when he suddenly coughed and became unresponsive, Glendale police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot said.”
The man, nor the spa’s identity have been released as of yet. Cause of death is pending an autopsy but police Sgt. Tom Lorenz said that while police will be investigating the incident, that “at this point, the death does not appear to be suspicious in nature.”
