Coming this July 19, Galco’s Old World Grocery is presenting its fifth annual summer tasting event, and this time around the soda tasting festivities are taking on an international flavor.

Around The World in 80 Sips invites soda-lovers of all ages to sample a wide selection of carbonated confections crafted in Italy, France, England and more. Guests can enjoy music and soda fun in parking, and if you really like something you try, odds are you’ll be able to walk inside the store and grab yourself a six-pack or two (their selection is amazing!).

The best part is the event is actually a fundraiser to help save the Southwest Museum in Mt. Washington, which has been closed for the better part of the last decade. The Friends of the Southwest Museum are trying to unarchive the historic collections (many of which are currently boxed in storage in Burbank) and extend open hours for the museum so that more of the public may have a chance to enjoy it.
Around the World in 80 Sips will take place in the Galco’s parking lot from 5:00pm – 8:00pm on Sunday, July 19.
Tickets for the benefit soda tasting will be sold for $12 online (and $5 for kids ages 5-11), and $15 at the day of the event.
