The County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works sponsors bus service to the Santa Monica Pier all summer long, a program they call The Summer Beach Bus.
Many of the beach buses are already running their summer service, but a few (including the East Los Angeles stop) are just staring this week.
Adult fares generally run between $1-$3 roundtrip, depending on location (the bus from Lancaster was $6 for adults). Basically, it’s good way to get low-cost service to the beach while saving on gas and parking.
The Summer Beach Bus runs through Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2015.
After the jump please find a full list of service areas for the Summer Beach Buses along with dates when service goes into effect.
Links provided go to PDF brochures with detailed information about individual fares and stops for the indicated area.
