Bergamot Comedy Festival (March 31 through April 5)- M TP > The Crow in Santa Monica present a six day long comedic arts festival which will host educational panels, workshops, gatherings and nightly showcases. Some events are free, and others are ticketed. More info here.

NHM First Fridays (April 4) – M > Natural History Museum’s signature monthly series returns in April with an emphasis on experiencing sound they call AMPLIFIED. The event includes DJ sets in the nature garden, pop-up sound experiences throughout the museum, plus a discussion on the science behind healing sounds. First Fridays run 5 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $25. More info here.

KJazz Tracks at Union Station (April 5) – FA M TP > Metro Art and KJazz 88.1 FM celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month with another KJazz Tracks concert inside Union Station’s historic Ticket Concourse. Hosted by KJazz DJs José Rizo and Rhonda Hamilton, the free event showcases performances by Kiefer Trio, Salami Rose Joe Louis, and David Binney Action Trio. Open to all, this is a must for jazz lovers looking to experience live music in an iconic setting. More info here.

The 5th Annual ‘Gloria Molina Grand Park’s Easy Mornings’ (April 5 & 19) -> Celebrate Earth Month with two relaxing Saturday mornings at Gloria Molina Grand Park, where Angelenos of all ages can unwind and recharge in the heart of Downtown L.A. Enjoy free activities, including family yoga, theater, dance, arts & crafts, and an eclectic marketplace curated by Smorgasburg L.A., featuring local organizations, artists, and micro-businesses dedicated to community recovery and healing. Corgi Beach Day (April 5) – FA > Corgis, costumes, cuteness. It’ll be there at the annual Corgi Beach Day, taking place two block south of Huntington Beach Pier. Expect special vendors, food trucks, costumes, and plenty of photo ops, whether you’re there with your pup or just want to see the spectacle of it all. The event is free to attend. More info here.

L.A. Beer Fest (April 5) -> The 17th annual L.A. Beer Fest brings 80+ breweries together with a curated selection of local food trucks for a day of tastings, music, and fun, all at L.A. Center Studios. General admission starts at $55 per person. More info here.

Renaissance Pleasure Faire (April 5 – May 18) -> Ren-Faire enthusiasts can expect over 200+ artisans, merchants, and vendors, plus costume contests, games, rides, a food court and more, all taking place at the Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area on Saturdays and Sundays through May 18. Adult single-day admission starts at $44. More info here.

Generous Plates (April 6) -> With Masters of Taste on pause due to the Eaton Fires, a new intimate fundraiser steps in to support Union Station Homeless Services. Generous Plates offers a one-night-only dining experience at the Rose Bowl, blending the same community spirit with a more immersive setting. Guests kick off the evening with a cocktail reception, followed by a seated five-course tasting menu curated by top chefs, restaurants, and brands. Ticket holders choose between two distinct dining experiences, each showcasing a unique lineup of chefs, flavors, and beverage pairings. Every dollar raised directly supports Union Station Homeless Services, the largest homeless services provider in the San Gabriel Valley. Tickets start at $350. More info here.

Pysanka Festival (April 6) – FA > The Ukrainian Culture Center in East Hollywood is hosting a free easter festival. Enjoy traditional food, folk performances, and a market of vendors. More info here.

Wiggle Waggle Walk (April 6) – TP > The 27th Annual Wiggle Waggle Walk helps to raise funds for the Pasadena Humane Society’s mission to care for animals. This years fundraiser is more important than ever as PHS has taken in an enormous amount of animals during the fires in January. Registration starts at $50 per person. The three-mile route or one-mile morning loop around the Rose Bowl welcomes everyone including dogs and children. Before the walk dogs can take a run through the training course and humans can explore the vendor marketplace. More info here.

CicLAvia Koreatown Meets Hollywood (April 6) – M FA > L.A.’s biggest and longest running open streets initiative heads to Koreatown with a car-free course that covers a 4.75 mile stretch that connects to Hollywood. Runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free to attend. More info here.

Montrose Craft Beer Fest (April 6) -> The Montrose Craft Beer Fest showcases brewers and breweries from the Los Angeles area. Guests can enjoy beers paired with delicious food samples, as well as various booths, lawn games and music. Tickets start at $60.54 presale. More info here

Sound Bath & Lunch at JACCC’s Japanese Garden (Mondays in April ) -> The Japanese American Cultural & Community Center in Little Tokyo introduces a new weekly sound bath and lunch series set in its tranquil Japanese garden, where lush greenery and a cascading waterfall create the perfect retreat. The experience begins with a 60-minute sound bath led by holistic practitioner Iris Esmerelda, designed to promote deep relaxation through healing vibrations. Afterward, guests can enjoy a peaceful lunch in the garden with offerings like Tofu Katsu Sandos, Brown Butter Hojicha Cookies, and matcha drinks made with Uji tea leaves from Kyoto. Green Screen Series at NHM Commons (April 10, 17, 24)- M FA -> To mark the 10th anniversary of City Nature Challenge, the Natural History Museum debuts Green Screen, a free film series at NHM Commons Theater exploring pressing environmental issues from local and global perspectives. Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach (April 11-13) – M > The annual racing event brings three days of grand prix action to Downtown Long Beach accompanied by a lifestyle expo and a variety of fun activations. Tickets start at $54. More info here.

City of STEM Festival and LA Maker Faire (April 12) – M FA TP > City of STEM the biggest festival of science, technology, engineering and math in Los Angeles and Los Angeles Maker Faire, the region’s largest gathering of creative thinkers will both converge on LA Historic Park for a day of science and creativity. The event features free STEM activities, workshops, lectures and special appearances by famous creators and science celebrities. More info here.

L.A. Dance Project at Lightscape (April 12) – M FA -> L.A. Dance Project takes over Lightscape at Marciano Art Foundation with a site-specific, kinetic performance presented by Doug Aitken Workshop and KCRW. Featuring dancers Lorrin Brubaker, Jeremy Coachman, Courtney Conovan, Daphne Fernberger, Audrey Sides, and Hope Spears, the performance unfolds in real time, responding to shifting light and immersive sound. With movement direction by Daphne Fernberger, this electrifying experience transforms the space into a living, breathing work of art. More info here.

Reading by Moonrise (April 12) – M FA > April is National Poetry Month, and Clockshop is celebrating the art of the written verse with an afternoon of readings at Los Angeles State Historic Park, curated by Ivanna Baranova, Co-Director of the Poetic Research Bureau The program is free and open to the public, but a $5 donation is gently encouraged. Touch-A-Truck at Discovery Cube LA (April 12-19) -> “Touch-a-Truck” is back at Discovery Cube Los Angeles this April for a week-long pop-up offering children a very hands-on educational experience. Kids can climb inside these vehicles to explore and learn about what it takes to provide essential services to the public, from police cars and firetrucks to construction rigs, garbage haulers and city buses. Bob Baker Day (April 13) – M FA TP > The 11th annual Bob Baker Day brings a festive carnival atmosphere to Los Angeles State Historic Park, including music, games, and puppets from the Bob Baker Marionette Theater. The event is free to attend, but suggested donations of $20 are happily accepted to support the theater’s mission. Runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. RSVP is required. More info here.

Meet The Grunion (April 14 & 29) -> Join Cabrillo Marine Aquarium in San Pedro for Meet the Grunion, a unique nighttime experience where you’ll learn about these silvery fish before heading to the beach to (hopefully) witness their fascinating mating ritual. As the waves roll in, the grunion briefly emerge onshore before disappearing back into the ocean—a true natural spectacle. Tickets cost $7 per adult and $3 for seniors and kids. More info here.

The Getty Center Presents: Poetry in the Garden (April 16, 23, 30) – FA > Live readings are back at The Getty Center’s Central Garden, as the annual Poetry in the Garden series returns with a new lineup of poets, spread over three dates in April. Artists will share original works inspired by the upcoming exhibition, What They Saw: Historical Photobooks by Women, 1843–1999. More info here.

Earth Day at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County (April 19) – M > NHM invites the public to spend a day enjoying hands-on activities, such as birding, nature photography, and more. Free with paid admission to the museum. More info here.

Bloomtown Flower Farm Tour (April 19) – FA > In honor of springtime flowers, Bloomtown Flower Farm Co. in Covina will once again host an open farm day inviting the public to their flower fields for a self-guided tour as well as fresh flowers, food and beverage available for purchase. MOCA’s Plant Sale (April 19) -> MOCA’s Plant Sale returns for its third year, transforming The Geffen Contemporary into a lush marketplace of greenery and botanical art. Curated by artist Alika Cooper, this annual event gathers artists and growers from across Los Angeles to showcase and sell plants, ceramics, and nature-inspired wares. This year also features a Sustainable Skillbuilding herbalism workshop by Blue Hour Goods, exploring the healing properties of native plants—a perfect complement to your plant haul. TCM Classic Film Festival (April 24-27) -> A four-day slate of classic films shown on the big screen at a range of historic Los Angels theaters. The festival will focus on grand illusions, fantastic worlds in cinema. Individual tickets start at $20. More info here.

Music in the Garden (April 26) -> Enjoy a Sunday afternoon in at the South Coast Botanic Garden serenaded by live music from the Peninsula Committee Los Angeles Philharmonic. The performance is included with garden admission, which starts at $15 for adults. More info here.

FOLAR Habitat Restoration Day & Earth Month Celebration (April 26) – FA > Experience an Earth Day Extravaganza hosted by Friends of the Los Angeles River (FoLAR). This event offers a day packed with environmental themed festivities and community engagement at the Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Preserve Whether exploring the River Rover mobile museum, participating in cleanup efforts, or making native seed balls there’s something for everyone at this lively celebration. Jackalope Pasadena (April 26-27) – M FA > Jackalope brings its artisan market back to Central Park in Old Pasadena for a two-day event showcasing over 200 local vendors selling indie goods, clothing, jewelry, home decor, housewares, art, photography, and food. The 15th Eclectic Music Festival & Art Crawl (April 26) – M FA TP > The South Pasadena festival returns with dozens of diverse musical acts on stages and intimate venues all across town. An array of other activities are also on the dock including open galleries, beer and wine gardens, family friendly things to do, and food trucks. More info here.

Pizza City Fest Los Angeles (April 26-27) -> Pizza City Fest returns for its third year, bringing 40 top pizzaiolos and restaurants to L.A. Live’s Event Deck for a two-day celebration of all things pizza. Hosted by food reporter Steve Dolinsky, the festival spotlights a variety of styles—including New York, Detroit, Sicilian, Roman, to Armenian lahmajoun—with a rotating lineup of pizzerias each day. Tickets cost $125 per day and include unlimited food and beverages, as well as access to panels, seminars and demos. More info here.

LA Times Festival of Books (April 26-27) – M FA >  The 30th Los Angeles Times Festival of Books returns to the campus of USC this April featuring over book and merchandise exhibitors, a number of outdoor stages and activity areas, expert panels, performances, demos, and more. Meditation with a Tree at Getty Center (April 26) – FA > The Getty invites guests to “attune to the rhythms of the tree” through a multi-speaker sound installation, a guided meditation syncs breath with sap flow, wind, and unseen energies, fostering shared perception and expanded communication. The experience will be followed by an artist talk by Aroussiak Gabrielian, who will present her forthcoming book and design series, Near-Extinction Rituals. Free to attend with reservation. Cinco de Mayo Family Day at LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes (April 27) – M FA > Explore California’s connection to the Battle of Puebla through performances, music, hands-on workshops, and more. Free to attend. More info here.

Spring Exhibitions Opening at The Skirball -> (April 30 – May 1) – FA TP > This spring, the Skirball Cultural Center will have a pair of new exhibitions on offer: Jack Kirby: Heroes and Humanity and Away in the Catskills: Summers, Sour Cream, and Dirty Dancing. They’ll both debut during an evening affair on April 30, where the public can enjoy after-hours access to the galleries plus a DJ set, sips and snacks for purchase, and artists and curators on hand. The following day (May 1), the exhibitions officially open to the public with a day of special spotlight tours. Best part? Both opening night and opening day are free to attend with registration.
