It’s been (hard to believe) 30 years since the release of the original Back to the Future, which means we’re now living in the time that Marty travelled to the future in the second installment of the trilogy.
Unfortunately there are no flying cars yet and no hoverboards (though the Cubs still yet may the World Series), but the date of Marty’s fictional arrival (October 21, 2015) still seems like the perfect time to celebrate.

Today (Sunday, October 18) starting at 11:00am is Back to the Future Fan Appreciation Day at the Puente Hills Mall in City of Industry, which was the stand-in location for the “Twin Pines Mall” in the original film.
The day’s festivities will include a flashmob of costumed guests, prizes for best costumes and best performance, plus displays with real props from all three Back to the Future movies. The DeLorean Time machine and Doc Brown’s van, along with select memorabilia from the triology are on display at the mall through October 25. All fans of Back to the Future are welcome.
Today’s event is hosted in conjunction with the mall and an organization called We’re Going Back, which is hosting a series of ticketed events from October 21-25 to celebrate the ‘Back to the Future Day’.
Guests are strongly encouraged to come dressed for occasion!
Back to the Future Fan Appreciation Day will take place at the Puente Hills mall on October 18, 2015 from 11:00am – 6:00pm.
The Puente Hills Mall is located at 1600 S Azusa Ave, City of Industry, CA 91748.
