4. Masters of Taste Food Festival at the Pasadena Rose Bowl (May 7)

This massive one-day festival includes live music and entertainment, as well as sampling from the sweets masters, culinary masters, and beverage masters, with 100% of festival proceeds benefiting Union Station Homeless Services, a 501(c)(3) organization that assists homeless individuals and families throughout the Gabriel Valley. -> More information

5. 5th Annual Bartending Competition Returns to JW Marriott Los Angeles (starts May 10)

Watch some of Los Angeles’ best bartenders compete during the May Mix-off at the Mixing Room at the J.W. Marriott at L.A. Live. 8. ‘Björk Digital’ at The Magic Box at The Reef in DTLA (starts May 19)

Ever the iconoclast, Björk won’t disappoint with her newest project, coming soon to Los Angeles. Björk Digital is a groundbreaking virtual reality collection of videos, featuring music from Björk’s latest album, Vulnicura, to be shown at Magic Box at The Reef in Downtown L.A. -> More information

9. First Annual East LA Comic-Con (May 20)

10. 2017 SoCal BBQ Bash & Expo at the Fairplex (May 20)

13. California Strawberry Festival (May 20-21)

The 2017 California Strawberry Festival will include  50 food booths, contests, rides and attractions, plus over 200 Arts & Crafts vendors, PLUS concerts, celebrity chef demonstrations, and family fun, including a Strawberry Promenade sponsored by Wells Fargo and a Strawberry Land attraction for kids. 14. Six L.A. Museums Will Be Free on ‘Museums of The Arroyo Day’ 2017 (May 21)

On May 21 six area museums and historical homes will open their doors free of charge for Museums of the Arroyo Day. The list includes the Gamble House, Heritage Square, the Los Angeles Police Museum, the Lummis Home and Garden, the Pasadena Museum of History, and The Autry’s Historic Southwest Museum Mt.
