Enjoy Locals’ Night at the Santa Monica Pier | Free To-Do #3

Santa Monica Pier at Sunset. Photo by Christina Champlin / We Like L.A.

The Santa Monica Pier needs no introduction, but that doesn’t need we need to sleep on it either. Enter Locals’ Night, which is one of the signature recurring programs at the Pier. Taking place every third Thursday of the month from October to May, the activation brings together live music, a classic car show, vendors, books & cookies literary experiences, plus plenty of food and drinks—all set against the backdrop of the historic Santa Monica Pier carousel. And despite the name, you don’t have to be a local to attend!

Each month offers something new, but you can always count on a mix of entertainment for all ages. Early hours (roughly 3:30 to- 5 p.m.) cater to families with musical story time for kids, while the evening ramps up with a car show, live performances, and special book/photography exhibitions.
