The Music Center’s beloved free Friday night summer dance series is kicking off early with its first-ever springtime edition—a one-night-only event celebrating the city’s cultural diversity through movement and music. Expect a vibrant mix of salsa, reggaeton, funk, and Afrobeats to keep the energy high all night.
Hosted by Maya Jupiter, the evening features music from DJ Cquestt and DJ Ethos, plus free beginner dance lessons inside Walt Disney Concert Hall at 7 and 8:30 p.m. No experience needed—just come ready to move! Side Street Projects, a Pasadena/Altadena-based artist-run nonprofit, will also be onsite offering a custom wooden tag-making activity for guests. And if you miss this one, don’t worry. There should be plenty more Friday night dance fun planned for the summer.
