Taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center on February 6-7, 2016 the second annual LA Cookie Con and Sweets Show is coming back and promises to be bigger and better than the inaugural edition.
Last year’s event kind of exploded on to the scene, so this year’s event will have three times the space and expand into two days of celebrating all things sweet.
If you are lucky enough to snag a ticket (they sold out last year) you will have access to hundreds of samples with plenty of gluten-free and vegan options available.
Guest will also have the opportunity to learn from TV and blog personalities on topics such as Traditional Baking and Vegan Treats. YouTube star Sugarcoder will be on hand to teach her kawaii macarons and more demonstrators and teachers will be announced weekly until the event.
This year’s celebrity guest lineup will include stars from Masterchef, Next Food Network Star, Chopped, The Cooking Channel and YouTube.
Special Guests for this year include Saturday’s headliner Ron Ben-Israel of Food Network’s “Sweet Genius”and “Cake Wars” and famed cake decorator in New York luxury baking market. Saturday also includes a special appearance from Sarah Michelle Gellar, who will be demoing on behalf of her recently launched Lifestyle brand, Foodstirs.
Sunday’s headliner is Rosanna Pansino, New York Times Best Selling Author and creator of the show ‘Nerdy Nummies’, which airs on her YouTube channel (which has tallied more than 5 million subscribers and 1 billion video views).
Keep in mind The Cookie Con is not just for adults. They have a Kids Zone for toddler and big kids set up with crafts, snacks, games and activities, plus cookie decorating by Baking With Melissa and face painting by Urban Sitter. The Kids Zone is free with a child admission to the event which costs $10 for a day pass and $15 for a weekend pass.
If you are planning on purchasing a VIP Weekend Pass you will get access to two VIP Rooms, enjoy early entry to the shows, free massages by the National Holistic Institute, and an exclusive selection of alcoholic and nonalcoholic sips and bites, plus a collectible canvas swag bag filled with coupons and samples. The VIP Weekend pass will cost you $50.
Early Bird prices range from $17 to $50 depending on the package you choose (General Admission, 1 Day Pass, VIP Weekend Pass.) For more information on tickets and prices visit the Cookie Con 2016 Eventbrite ticket page.
