To that end, why not check out the LA Taco Festival this Saturday at Grand Park in downtown Los Angeles?
Now in it’s fifth year (and first in Grand park), the LA Taco Festival is a day-long community celebration featuring more than a dozen local food vendors and live music, with proceeds raised from sales/donations all to benefit Jovenes Inc, a Boyle Heights based organization dedicated to serving homeless youth and at-risk families through housing assistance, education, and employment support.
Best part? Admission to the fest is free, so you can come hang out, only pay for whatever food you’ll eat or donate what you like, and enjoy a beautiful afternoon in one of the city’s most beautiful public spaces.
Vendors scheduled to be at the festival include Kogi, Los Ruizenorers, Zingo Tacos, Mexicali, Viva Los Cupcakes, Jenni’s Ice Cream, and many more!
In addition to the bevy of taco and food providers on hand, there will also be live music as well as a raffle for Los Angeles Lakers tickets for everyone who donates to Jovenes.
The LA Taco Festival will take place on Saturday, August 22 from 12:00pm – 7:00pm.
