Who needs video games when you can just copy them in real life?
The Corridor Digital Channel on YouTube created a live-action video that mimics the gameplay of the Grand Theft Auto series, as set in Los Angeles.

If you’re familiar with GTA V you’ll know that the fictional Los Santos is (in many ways) a carbon copy of its real-life counterpart, Los Angeles. The video game version features riffs on landmarks such as the Griffith Observatory and the L.A. River.
And as for this video? Well, it’s kind of life imitating art imitating life. Or maybe it’s just art imitating art…
Sound effects, body movements, phone calls… and of course the video game violence too… it’s all there. In fact I’d go as far as to say the violence seems a lot less cartoonish when you’re looking at (CGI’d as it might be) flesh and blood. But that’s just my take.
What do you think?
Just for some context, here’s a video behind-the-scenes of making GTA in Los Angeles.
