So filmmaker Russell Houghten transformed the landscaped of Los Angeles into a ghost town for his hauntingly beautiful short entitled Urban Isolation.
In his film, the director showcases skaters drifting down abandoned freeways and vacant cross streets, all accompanied by an eerie soundtrack that completes the jarring vibe. In some ways, very similar to what Ross Ching did from a couple years back in his short Running on Empty.
According to Houghten’s blog he’ll be selling 10″x20″ prints of frames pulled from my film with all proceeds will go to Los Angeles County animal shelters, so that’s kind of nice too.
Give it a watch below. We think you’ll enjoy.
