Peruse Art at Hauser & Wirth DTLA | Free To-Dos #17

Prestigious international gallery chain Hauser & Wirth now boasts two Los Angeles destinations, but it’s the Arts District location we want to focus on in this post. Here you’ll large scale exhibitions from contemporary artists along with cultural programming ranging from family workshops to live performance.  And it’s always free and open to the public.

The Arts District gallery isn’t a museum, but the 100,000 square-foot campus housed at the site of an old flour mill rivals (in sheer footprint at least) many of the cultural institutions around town. In addition to the exhibition spaces, onsite you’ll find a bookstore, a small garden featuring a chicken coop and beds of herbs, as well as Manuela restaurant. All in all, a great place to hang and peruse art if you’re in DTLA! No reservations required.
