The Planetary Society is marking their 35th anniversary with a big party hosted by comedic science educator Bill Nye this Saturday night in Pasadena.

The evening promises a night of laughter while celebrating the past, present and future of the impact of science on our culture.
Among the featured guests for the celebration will be renowned astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson who will be receiving the Cosmos Award for the Public Presentation of Science
Other guests at this year’s celebration include author Andy Weir (author of The Martian), Nichelle Nichols, Robert Picardo,and Jeri Ryan (all from the Star Trek universe), plus NASA Scientist Amy Mainzer and other Planetary Society members and personalities.
The event takes at the Pasadena Civic Center this Saturday, October 24, starting at 7:30pm,
A special gala dinner precedes the event from 5:00pm to 7:00pm,
