Drink beer. Talk science.
Sounds like a winning combo to me!

Pub Science, hosted by the Columbia Memorial Space Center, has a very simple and noble mission: bring together Angelenos of all backgrounds and education levels to discuss real and current scientific topics in an informal setting. Oh, and drink beer!
On Tuesday, June 9 Pub Science returns (first event was in Downey this past April) with a meet-up at Golden Road Brewing.
The evening will include a brewer from Golden Road offering a brief talk about the science behind making beer and yeast’s role in the brewing process. The talk will also have plenty of time for questions and answers.
Also featured will be Erin Burkett, a Geophysicist with the USGS, who will give a short presentation about earthquakes, specifically “the big one” and the myths that surround prognostication of this potentially devastating event.
Finally, the night includes a fun round of science based pub trivia to finish things off.
Sound like your flavor (of beer)?
The event begins at 7:00pm at Chloe’s, the private bar inside of Golden Road. 21+ only. There is no ticket or RVSP required, but you can get more information by checking out the official invite page on Facebook.
Golden Road is located at 5410 W San Fernando Rd, Los Angeles, CA 90039
