Must hit up place of the week goes to..
After hearing OC Weekly editor Gustavo Arellano talk about a tortilla made with hibiscus infused jicama root he encountered during Tacolandia I was instantly intrigued. By way of Lynwood Balam Mexican Kitchen is a fast casual spot reimagining tacos from Coconut Shrimp tacos to Chicken Tika the flavors seems more global than Mexican. Often this would be questionable but as you can see in their Yelp reviews they are 5 stars across the board (take that for what it’s worth).
Finally, just a quick snapshot of the best thing we’ve eaten in the past week…
On a recent trip to Redondo Beach I stopped off at Locale 90 a true Neapolitan Pizzaria and tasted Rosies meatballs a secret family recipe I wish I had access too because it was one of the best meatballs I’ve had in a long time.
