The Hollywood Bowl’s most thrilling summer tradition is back this weekend, and 2024 promises back-to-back evenings of boisterous celebration punctuated by marvelous music and powerful pyrotechnics.
For this year’s Tchaikovsky Spectacular, conductor Otto Tausk leads the L.A. Philharmonic in Polonaise from Euguene Onegin before throwing his endearing enthusiasm into the illustrious Sleeping Beauty Suite. Then, Uzbek pianist Behzod Abduraimov steps to the stage to perform one of Tchaikovsky’s best known and loved piano concertos.
And then of course there’s the grand finale: The 1812 Overture brings the Spectacular to a booming finish with an assist from the USC Trojan Marching Band, backed by one of the most exciting fireworks shows of the season. You won’t want to miss it!
Concerts take place this Friday, August 2, and Saturday, August 3. Both nights start at 8 p.m. Get your tickets here!
