With that in mind, we put together a list every Monday morning to keep you in the know about what’s happening in the city you love (or maybe just like).

1. Sanrio Take Over at Plan Check Kitchen + Bar

5. FREE Sunset Walks at the Griffith Observatory
The Griffith Observatory offers a sunset walk led by a Park Ranger and a Museum Guide every month. If you’ve never really been to the observatory or Griffith Park, this is a nice way to get acquainted with the area while tackling only a short distance (only about a half-mile total) done at a moderate pace.
6. Food Truck Night at The California Heritage Museum
Food truck night at the museum host a big selection of gourmet food trucks every Tuesday night from 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. at the California Heritage Museum on Main Street.
7. Escape Room LA: The Cavern
Play Indiana Jones for a day with Escape Room LA! Find clues and solve puzzles to get your hands on a lost civilization’s ancient treasures hundreds of feet below Downtown Los Angeles! 8. 42nd Street at The Pantages Theatre
42nd Street tells a story of an inexperienced chorus girl who finds herself stepping into huge success. 9. Escape Room LA The Alchemist

10. Acoustic As FOLK
Salvage Bar & Lounge, located in the heart of DTLA, hosts a live weekly music event every Tuesday showcasing our city’s best up and coming artists. Hosted by Rod Castro, C-Money (Slightly Stoopid), and most recently, Pink Floyd’s Scott Page Acoustic As FOLK is a no cover event in an awesome bar atmosphere to beat the mid week blues.
11. LACMA Tuesday Matinee Film Series Screens Craig’s Wife
Every week LACMA screens a classic film, the ongoing Tuesday Matinee film series cost $2 for members and $4 for non members.
12. Escape Room LA: The Detective

Picture you’re trapped inside a 1940’s film noir where you have to solve a slew of mysteries to escape by working with your fellow detectives as you race against the clock. Do you have what it takes? 13. World Rhythms at Descanso Gardens
The music series feature world music and dance performances celebrating the human connection to nature and gardens. Bring a picnic or purchase from Patina, this is a great family-friendly event in a gorgeous setting. World Rhythms will run every Tuesday from June 7 to July 26 from 6-7 p.m.
14. Free Museum Days
- The Autry National Center of the American West is free this Tuesday.
- Los Angeles County Museum of Art is free this Tuesday.
Wednesday June 15th, 2016
15. The Super Serious Show
The Super Serious Show is a monthly comedy event produced by CleftClips featuring both established and up-and-coming talent performing an array of stand-up, sketch and musical comedy. $7 advance $10 at the door.
16. Downtown Culver City’s 5th annual Third Wednesday ‘Spiked’ Lemonade Tasting
Designed for participants to explore Culver City, the Spiked Lemonade event provides folks with ‘passports’ to be used for redeeming lemonades at different stops in the city. With historic buildings, boutiques, theaters, galleries and unique restaurants Downtown Culver City is a hidden gem in Los Angeles just waiting to be discovered with lots of free lemonade.
18. Last Remaining Seats
The Los Angeles Conservancy’s classic film screening series Last Remaining Seats returns to DTLA this week with a month-long set of events showcasing our most historic movie venues in town. This week Dos tipos de cuidado (1953) at Palace Theatre (1911) Co-presented with the Latin American Cinemateca of Los Angeles.
19. Japanese Supper Club at Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden
The Japanese Supper Club is a monthly class where you can learn to make delicious traditional Japanese meals. The first class will be taught by author, Sonoko Sakai and participants will learn to make vegetarian Chirashi Sushi with vegetables from the farmers’ market. After the workshop participants will dine on a three course meal of miso soup, Chirashi Sushi, Japanese mochi and fresh fruit. Tickets cost $65 and includes all the ingredients plus the meal.
20. FLIX at FIG Screens: Purple Rain
Join FIGat7th for dinner and a movie. Grab food from TASTE Food Hall and catch a FREE movie every third Wednesday of the month. A live DJ and happy hour kicks off the night at 6:00pm and the film begins at 7:00pm.
21. Web Series Unplugged at El Cid
If you like sketch comedy, Funny or Die and UCB this event is for you. Taking place every third Wednesday at El Cid since 2010 Web Series Unplugged is where you can catch the latest web series screened live to an audience for the very first time. $10 at the door.
22. Scot Nery’s Boobie Trap
This live variety show features big names in a number of specialties like comedy, magic, and music. All acts have four minutes to be wildly entertaining. Audiences might see a popular comedian, a crazy trapeze act, a comedy sketch or something completely crazy, you wont know till the show starts! 23. Lunchtime Yoga Retreat
Get your sun salutations on in the middle of Downtown in Grand Park! The free yoga class starts at 12:15 p.m. and runs to 1 p.m.

24. 4-Days of Hip-Hop Dance in DTLA
The Music Center aims to put hip-hop on full blast through a special series showcasing the art of hip-hop dance through live performances, international dance competitions, discussions, demonstrations, and one heck of a late-night dance party. 25. Shakespeare by the Sea
The summer season of Shakespeare By The Sea begins with a performance of Cymbeline at Point Fermin Park in San Pedro. Three performances this week (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) and many more all summer long.
26. Throwback Thursdays Screening of Mommie Dearest

27. ‘After 5’ Music Series at Hauser Wirth & Schimmel
Arts District gallery Hauser Wirth & Schimmel will be offering a brand new ‘After 5’ weekly music series all summer long. Guests will be able to enjoy a mix of live bands and DJ sets, craft cocktails from The Spare Room, plus Russian hand-pies from the Airstream kitchen of Pirozhki LA. Guest will also be given access to the ARTBOOK bookstore and all current exhibitions.

28. Escape Room LA: The Theatre
Escape Room LA invites you to get trapped inside a creepy theater haunted by a ghost. The only way out is to uncover clues and puzzles that will lead you to create a magical spell and release the ghost before time runs out. If you fail you will be trapped in the theater forever. Game? 30. Bloomsday at The Hammer
Bloomsday at the Hammer Museum is a celebration of the life of Irish writer James Joyce. There will be Guinness, Irish fare and live music by Rattle the Knee in the courtyard plus a dramatic reading in The Billy Wilder Theater. Event starts at 7:30pm and it’s FREE!
31. Street Style Cinema
The Grove together with Who What Wear are putting on a free movie screening under the stars every Thursday during the summer. Screening this week is She’s All That! Enjoy DJs, themed cocktails and a photo booth. Snag free valet parking by donating a book to Baby2Baby.
32. Herschel Supply & Native Shoes Sample Sale
The NTWRK Agency is hosting a Herschel Supply and Native Shoes sample sale on Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the California Market center located at 110 E. 9th St. Los Angeles, CA 90079
33. Underwire Comedy

34. Free Museums This Thursday
- The Japanese American National Museum offers free admission from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. every Thursday.
- Every Thursday evening from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. admission is free to both the MOCA on Grand and The Geffen Contemporary.
- The Skirball Cultural Center is free to all every Thursday.
- Pasadena Museum of California Art is free this Thursday from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

35. Sleepless at The Music Center (Hip Hop edition!)
This Friday join in on the fun when the Walt Disney Concert Hall gets transformed overnight with a roller skating rink, live graffiti painting, dance crews, global Hip-Hop jams and more during a special hip-hop edition of Sleepless: The Music Center. Tickets cost $30 and go on sale Friday June 17 at 10 a.m.
36. KTown Night Market
The foodie and k-pop takeover of Koreatown returns for the weekend of June 17-18 with an impressive list of participating restaurants, entertainment options and other special vendors (and even an expected appearance by Mayor Garcetti)
37. Adults-Only All Nighters at Natural History Museum
The Natural History Museum is once again hosting adults-only slumber parties from 7 p.m. through 8 a.m. Kicking things off Friday the overnight experience includes science talks, tours, trivia games, a scavenger hunt, music, a midnight movie screening and a buffet with craft beer and wine and a breakfast buffet. Dinosaurs are said to make an appearance too!
38. Barnsdall Park’s Friday Night Wine Tasting
All summer long Barnsdall Art Park has a weekly wine tasting fundraiser to benefit the Barnsdall Art Park Foundation programs and projects. Perched on a hill with a gorgeous panoramic view of Hollywood, guests will enjoy fine wine and art in the gardens of Frank Lloyd Wright’s architectural gem, Hollyhock House. Silver Lake Wine will curate fine selections of boutique, small production, artisanal wines for park-goers as well as local gourmet cheese shop, Say Cheese.
39. Odd Nights At The Autry
From the man who brought you Dodger Stadium Flea, Downtown Flea and Melrose Flea launches his next epic adventure, Odd Nights At The Autry. Curator Phillip Dane brings another community hot spot to life with a variety of over 200 vendors from 20 gourmet food trucks, beer garden, custom handmade treasures and live local bands. This vivid culture is perfect for all ages and families to bring a blanket, host an evening picnic while enjoying the great outdoors. This event AND parking is free!

This Friday Grand Performances will host a free concert with Lebaniese band Mashrou’ Leila.
41. Los Angeles Dodgers Friday Night Fireworks
Nothing beats catching a game beneath the stars especially with our beloved Dodgers . After the final out is called, the lights will go down and guests can actually go on to the field for a spectacular fireworks show. 42. Finding Dory at The Hollywood El Capitan Theatre

44. The Groundlings: The Completely Different Late Show
The Completely Different Late Show is a hilarious improv show by the cast of the Groundlings’ Main Company. 45. Friday Night Jazz at LACMA
LACMA’s award winning Department of Music Program provides hundreds of free concerts and musical events every year for Angelenos to enjoy. This Friday their jazz series continues at the BP Grand Entrance.
