Things To Do This Weekend
Veteran’s Day Festivities -> Veteran’s Day is observed on Friday, and there are numerous free public events and tributes honoring U.S. Armed Forces members throughout the county, including a free screening of the new Jennifer Lawrence film Causeway held aboard the Battleship Iowa in San Pedro.
Lightscape at The L.A. Arboretum -> Starting Friday, the L.A. Arboretum lights up the holiday season with a one-mile trail of installations and twinkling displays, taking place at the garden after-hours on select dates from November 11 through January 8. Chocolate & Art Show -> On Friday Local artists and photographers showcase their work amidst an atmosphere of local vendors, face and body painting, live music, and free chocolate. Starts at 8 p.m. at The Vortex in DTLA. Tickets are $20. More info here.
Night Market at Ivy Station -> The Culver City Arts District Night Market at Ivy Station is a monthly event featuring over two dozen vendors and and plenty of local bites for purchase. Free to attend. Runs 5 to 10 p.m. this Friday. More info here.
PCH Movies & Moonlight -> Long Beach’s 2nd & PCH screens Disney’s Monster’s Inc this Friday as part of the, free PCH Movies & Moonlight. The event also includes pre-show entertainment and face-painting. for kids. Starts at 5 p.m. More info here.
Burbank Winter Wine Walk -> Celebrate the season with a wine stroll in Downtown Burbank this Saturday featuring wine tasting stations, live entertainment and a street lined with vendors to help you shop for the holidays. More info here.

SWIRL SurfSkate Festival -> This Saturday, skate collective GRLSWIRL teams up with ROXY and Carvers Skateboards for first-ever SWIRL SurfSkate Festival and concert in Venice. Spectators can enjoy the daytime events for free, which includes a morning surf paddle out and SurfSkate style competition with judges and prizes, alongside live music, food, drinks and art booths. We ARe Here: A Celebration of Legacy -> This Saturday and Grand Park, The Music Center in conjunction with the artist collective For Freedoms and KinfolkDiscover present an afternoon festival honoring the cultural legacy of L.A.’s BIPOC peoples. Los Angeles Taco & Margarita Festival -> The Taco and Margarita Festival takes over The Torch at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum this Saturday with more than just tacos and margaritas. The festival includes a tequila expo, music, entertainment and pro-wrestling. Korean Kimchi Festival LA -> The Korean Kimchi Festival comes to the courtyard of Ovation Hollywood this Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m. The free event features kimchi making demos, tastings, kid friendly activities, influencer segments, stand up comedy and more.

Vulture Festival -> On Saturday and Sunday, The 2022 Vulture Festival returns to the Hollywood Roosevelt for two days of actors in conversation, special screenings and panels, rare performances and workshops. Highlights include A Henry Winkler Acting Class, Hedwig and the Angry Inch 24th-Anniversary Tour, A Super Troopers Reunion and much more. Tickets for individual sessions range from $30 to $45. Autumn Festival at The Aquarium -> This two-day (Saturday + Sunday) event at The Aquarium of the Pacific celebrating Asian culture through traditional craft demonstrations, music, dance, cultural arts exhibits, and storytelling. Inglewood Open Studios -> This annual two-day art walk takes visitors on self-guided tours of art spaces and exhibition spaces in the City of Inglewood. All galleries will be free to enter, and some will offer special programming and workshops to accompany the art walk. The Groundlings 5th Annual Diversity Festival -> The Groundlings annual Diversity Festival returns this Saturday and Sunday with a mix of improv classes, performances, and online panels. 2022 festival honorees The Black Version will also give a special performance on Saturday (November 12). Classes are $10, and all shows will be free, with first-come, first-serve tickets distributed one hour before each performance. Proceeds from the event will help fund on-going diversity initiatives at The Groundlings. More info here.
2nd Annual Making Memories Festival -> November is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, and for the second year in a row Alzheimer’s Los Angeles hosts a special benefit concert to raise funds and awareness for the cause. This Sunday’s Making Memories Festival lineup features Los Lobos, Cut Chemist, Circle The Earth, Valley Queen, and DJ Monalisa. Waterwise Community Festival at CalBG -> This Sunday, the California Botanic Garden in Claremont hosts a free community event focused on the conservation of water. Sunday Funday at The Wallis -> The second Sunday Funday of the season at The Wallis features kid-friendly entertainment from Story Pirates and Spring Groove, followed by a Jazz dance instruction session from the Debbie Allen Dance Academy The event starts at 10 a.m. on the Promenade Terrace. From November 14-20 celebrate all things Italian with in-person cooking classes, wine tastings, pizza tastings, a film screening and special dinners. Events are both free and ticketed. Life & Thyme Night Market -> To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Life & Thyme the publication is throwing a futuristic night market in Los Angeles on Tuesday November 15. Step into the year 2050 with bites designed by Kodo, Banh Oui, Hanchic and Ganchic. Sip on drinks by Jinro Soju and dance the night away in this immersive culinary event.
