Things To Do This Weekend in Los Angeles [1-24-2025 to 1-26-2025]

Nothing feels normal yet, does it? With the Hughes Fire erupting yesterday and a small fire (which was quickly handled) near the Sepulveda Pass last night, the danger of the current weather conditions has only been underscored in the past few days. Thankfully, it looks like we might get a spot of rain this weekend, which should help. Unfortunately, that may also present a new challenge of mudslides. Ugh…

In the meantime, because this is what we do, we’re going to put a few to-dos on your radar. In view for this January 24-26 in Los Angeles, you’ll find a Eaton Canyon Fire benefit market at One Colorado, Fire Kinship at the Fowler Museum, Free Screenings at Vidiots, a dance party for fire relief at Sassafras, the Drive-By Theatre Festival at Zombie Joe’s, a January Cruise-In Benefit at Petersen Automotive Museum, and more.

Dine LA -> Dine LA is back, and this time, it’s more than just a chance to explore the city’s diverse dining scene—it’s an opportunity to support wildfire relief efforts while indulging in some seriously delicious eats. From January 24 through February 7, restaurants across L.A. will be offering specially priced menus starting at just $15. Even better? L.A. Tourism will donate $5 for every reservation to The American Red Cross, with Banc of California matching donations, up to a total of $100,000. With around 100 participating restaurants, there are a few standouts worth noting. Perle, the beloved French bistro in Pasadena, is on the list. Owner and chef Dean Yasharian lost his Altadena home in the devastating Eaton Fire, but despite that unimaginable loss, his restaurant remains open and ready to serve. For $70 per person, diners can enjoy some of Perle’s greatest hits, including their signature French Onion Soup, Branzino et Ratatouille, and Coq au Vin. Trust us, Perle delivers—it’s been recognized in the LA Times’ 101 Best Restaurants of 2024 and earned a spot in the Michelin Guide.

Beyond Perle, several other restaurants that stepped up during the recent wildfires are also participating, including Agnes, Pez Coastal Kitchen, and Bludso’s BBQ. These establishments went above and beyond to support their communities, and now it’s our turn to show appreciation by dining at their tables.

Some restaurants are taking it a step further by donating a portion of their Dine LA proceeds. The San Fernando, for instance, will contribute 30% of all Dine LA sales to the Fire Rescue Fund. So, whether you’re craving a budget-friendly bite or a fine dining experience, there’s no better time to dine out and make a difference.
