From April 4-6 in Los Angeles, you’ll find Easy Mornings in Grand Park, LA Beer Fest in DTLA, CicLAvia Koreatown Meets Hollywood, KJazz Tracks at Union Station, the Pasadena International Film Festival, the Renaissance Pleasure Faire, Corgi Beach Day, the 43i Cruise-In at The Petersen and more.

Make Metro Part of Your Weekend

KJazz Tracks at Union Station – > This Saturday at Union Station, Metro Art and KJazz 88.1 FM celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month with another KJazz Tracks concert inside the historic Ticket Concourse. Hosted by KJazz DJs José Rizo and Rhonda Hamilton, the free event showcases performances by Kiefer Trio, Salami Rose Joe Louis, and David Binney Action Trio. Open to all, this is a must for jazz lovers looking to experience live music in an iconic setting. Concert starts at 7:30 p.m. More info here.

Pasadena International Film FestivalM > Starting Thursday, the Pasadena International Film Festival kicks off an eight day showcase of film and creativity featuring 130 entrants from over a dozen countries, with submissions ranging from features and shorts to documentaries, music videos, animation and web series. Screenings will take place at the Laemmle NoHo 7 theater. Day passes start at $35 per person, and include admittance to all screenings, panels and Q&As for any single date. More info here.

LA Get Down -> LA Get Down is back with an annual celebration of Hip Hop & Spoken Word, all taking place at Greenway Court Theatre throughout the month of April. This weekend, the event schedule kicks into gear with a Hip Hop Cipher on Friday, a Welcoming Ceremony on Saturday, and a workshop on the Art of Improvised Poetry on Sunday. On the Air Marathon at The HammerFA > David Lynch aficionados can head to The Hammer this Friday as the museum pays tribute to the director with a marathon presentation of all seven episodes of the cult-classic television series On the Air, which was Lynch’s T.V. followup to Twin Peaks. Bergamot Comedy FestivalM > This six day-long comedic arts festival wraps offers a range of educational panels, workshops, gatherings and nightly showcases, all taking place at The Crow comedy club in Santa Monica. Some events are free, and others are ticketed. The fest runs through this Saturday. More info here.

NHM First FridaysM > Natural History Museum’s signature monthly series returns this Friday with an emphasis on experiencing sound. The event includes DJ sets in the nature garden, pop-up sound experiences throughout the museum, plus a discussion on the science behind healing sounds. Back to Nature’s Snack Stop Pop-UpFA> Back to Nature’s Snack Stop pops up on Abbot Kinney for one weekend only, bringing nostalgic snacking and tasty collaborations to Venice. Kicking off Friday, April 4, the grand opening features gift bags for the first 50 guests, a Happier Meal Sampler Box for all, and a special appearance by NYT bestselling cookbook author Molly Baz from 6-7 p.m.—with the first 30 in line scoring a signed More is More cookbook and a bottle of her new mayo, AYOH. Stick around for Venice’s First Fridays snacking with partners like Little Sesame, Olipop, and MALK (5-9 p.m.). Chinatown First FridaysM FA > On Friday, L.A.’s Chinatown stays open late for an evening of exploring the unique small businesses, restaurants, bars and contemporary art and culture spaces that make up the historic neighborhood. The April edition of First Fridays runs from 5 to 11 p.m. at Far East Plaza and Chung King Plaza. Free to attend, as always. More info here.

First Fridays at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCAM FA > The April edition of First Fridays at MOCA’s Geffen Contemporary campus features a A Slowness Workshop facilitated by anthropologist Joe Dumit and artist Dorte Bjerre Jensen, designed to offer visitors a new way to experience the exhibition Olafur Eliasson: OPEN. The workshop will be followed by a talk on slowness in perception, experience, and biology. Programming runs 5 to 8 p.m., and it’s free to attend but advanced reservations are required. Shark Lagoon Nights at AoPFA > Free Shark Lagoon Nights are back at the Aquarium of the Pacific this Friday, offering guests the chance to get up close and personal with the Aquarium’s shark roster, including the opportunity to touch smaller sharks such as bamboo sharks. You will also see rays and large sharks in the Aquarium’s Shark Lagoon. Free to to attend and no RSVP required. Runs 6 to 9 p.m. More info here.

Easy Mornings in Grand ParkM FA TP > The 2025 installment of Easy Mornings at Gloria Molina Grand Park offers a pair of Saturday respites (April 5 + 19) where Angelenos of all ages can unwind and recharge in the heart of Downtown L.A. Enjoy free activities, including family yoga, theater, dance, arts & crafts, and an eclectic marketplace curated by Smorgasburg L.A., featuring local organizations, artists, and micro-businesses dedicated to community recovery and healing. L.A. Beer Fest -> This Saturday, the 17th annual L.A. Beer Fest brings 80+ breweries together with a curated selection of local food trucks for a day of tastings, music, and fun, all at L.A. Center Studios. General admission starts at $55 per person. There will be two sessions, noon to 3 p.m., or 5 to 8 p.m. More info here.

Corgi Beach DayFA > Corgis, costumes, cuteness. It’ll be there at the annual Corgi Beach Day this Saturday. Taking place two block south of Huntington Beach Pier, event goers can expect special vendors, food trucks, costumes, and plenty of photo ops, whether you’re there with your pup or just want to see the spectacle of it all. Aristotle/Alexander -> After a successful run at The Getty Villa’s Theater Lab last spring, director Alex Lyras has brought Aristotle/Alexander to Company of Angels in Boyle Heights this month, with performances continuing this Saturday and Sunday. The play dramatizes the real-life relationship between between Aristotle and a teenaged Alexander the Great, touching on themes of power, tyranny, truth and democracy, and resonating (all too vividly) with issues of today. Performances continues on select weekend dates through May 4. Tickets start at $40 for adults. More info here.

Renaissance Pleasure Faire -> The annual Renaissance Pleasure Faire is back for the spring starting this Saturday. Ren-Faire enthusiasts can expect over 200+ artisans, merchants, and vendors, plus costume contests, games, rides, a food court and more, all taking place at the Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area on Saturdays and Sundays through May 18. CicLAvia Koreatown Meets HollywoodM FA TP > CicLAvia, L.A.’s biggest and longest running open streets initiative heads to Koreatown this Sunday with a car-free course that covers a 4.75 mile stretch that connects to Hollywood. Runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free to attend. More info here.

Pysanka FestivalFA > On Sunday, the Ukrainian Culture Center in East Hollywood is hosting a free Easter festival featuring traditional food, folk performances, and a market of vendors. Runs noon to 5 p.m. More info here.

Wiggle Waggle Walk – > The 27th Annual Wiggle Waggle Walk helps to raise funds for the Pasadena Humane Society’s mission to care for animals. This years fundraiser is more important than ever as PHS has taken in an enormous amount of animals during the fires in January. Registration starts at $50 per person. The three-mile route or one-mile morning loop around the Rose Bowl welcomes everyone including dogs and children. Before the walk dogs can take a run through the training course and humans can explore the vendor marketplace. More info here.

43i Cruise-In at The Petersen -> The Petersen Automotive Museum and 43 Institute team up this Sunday to host the first public celebration honoring the life and career of late motorsports legend Ken Blocky. On hand, you can expects hundreds of unique builds, meet-and-greets with notable automotive personalities who worked with Block, an exclusive merchandise drop and a live podcast featuring Brian Scotto, co-founder of Hoonigan. Spectator tickets are free, and show vehicle tickets start at $69 (which includes museum admission). Event runs 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. More info here.

Montrose Craft Beer Fest  -> On Sunday, the Montrose Craft Beer Fest showcases brewers and breweries from the Los Angeles area. Guests can enjoy beers paired with delicious food samples, as well as various booths, lawn games and music. Tickets start at $60.54 presale. More info here
