1. [9 a.m.] The Silver Lake Library will host a Mega Outdoor Book Sale with most titles priced at under a dollar. All proceeds support the Friends of Silver Lake Library 501(c)3 nonprofit, which helps support the Silver Lake branch of the Los Angeles Public Library.
2. [9:30 a.m.] L.A.’s Better Booch is partnering with WellSet for Better & Well an all-day wellness experience at ROW DTLA. The event features mini consultations, yoga, group hypno-meditation, music, expert-led panels and a curated wellness marketplace.
3. [10 a.m.] The Bob Baker Marionette Theater brings its annual Bob Baker Day carnival to the spaces of Los Angeles State Historic Park this Saturday featuring a packed day of puppet shows, live music, crafts, games, and food trucks, all in commemoration of the theater’s late founder, Bob Baker. FREE
4. [10 a.m.] JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles hosts “Aroma & Mindfulness,” an interactive workshops focused on wood scent as part of their current exhibition “HIDA: A Woodwork Tradition in the Making.” Guests will blend their own custom scents led by expert Saskia Wilson-Brown, founder and Executive Director of the Institute for Art and Olfaction.
5. [11 a.m.] The 7th Annual Los Angeles IPA Festival returns to Mohawk Bend in Echo Park tapping 60 of the best IPAs made by Golden State breweries.
6. [1 p.m.] The Vincent Price Art Museum will hosts a special closing exhibition event for George Rodriguez: Double Vision. The event will include a screening of A Picture of George! George Rodriguez: An American Photographer, produced and directed by Billy Rapaport; a conversation with Rodriguez, Rapaport, and exhibition curator Josh Kun will follow. FREE
7. [2 p.m.] ace/121 Gallery and the Association of Hysteric Curators host What She Said Community Day with three live performances and readings by The Peoples Tarot. FREE
8. [5 p.m.] Pasadena’s Norton Simon Museum of Art’s signature party A Night in Focus returns on Saturday with a Paris themed evening of lively programs focused on the exhibition By Day & by Night: Paris in the Belle Époque.
9. [7:30 & 9:30 p.m.] The Groundlings recently debuted an extra rowdy all-new sketch comedy from the Main Company called Bar Fight. The show runs every Friday and Saturday.
10. [various] Dine Out Long Beach Restaurant Week returns with a host of specially priced prix fixe brunches, lunches and dinners from February 23-29.
