1. The Music Center presents StarDust, a celebration of the late great David Bowie through performances by Complexions Contemporary Ballet. The tribute show running April 20 – 22 is part of the 15th season Dance at The Music Center and will feature many of the icons unforgettable hits and glam rock-inspired costumes.

3. Pacific Opera Project (POP) presents a truly unique an immersive production of Mozart’s Don Giovanni, at The Vortex a large warehouse space in DTLA. 5. Rooftop Cinema Club returns to the rooftop of The Montalban in Hollywood with a screening of Mean Girls. Other screenings this week include Blade Runner, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Blade Runner 2049 and more.
6. See dark tales focused on murder, mayhem, and femme fatales at the 20th Noir City: Hollywood Film Noir Festival at Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood from April 13-22.
7. Spa Week returns to Los Angeles April 16-22 for its biannual celebration dedicated to improving personal health by simplifying wellness. Every April and October for one week only, hundreds of spas and wellness locations across North America will offer two or three full-service treatments for just $50 each.
8. This Friday Caltech’s Stargazing and Lecture series returns to Pasadena for a night of outer worldly discussions and some stargazing. FREE
9. 260LA will host an 3.1 Phillip Lim sample sale event April 17-22 in Beverly Hills with men’s and women’s ready to wear, footwear, accessories and more at a steep discount.

12. Museum of Selfies opens on April 1 and will run till May 31 with 10 interactive exhibits that welcomes visitors to take a closer look into the cultural phenomenon. 25. Celebrate Earth Day in Highland Park! LA Sanitation is throwing its third annual Earth Day LA event which features various activities and booths for children and adults to explore and learn about sustainable practices. FREE
26. The California Poppy Festival returns to Lancaster for another year of blossoming flowers April 21-22 at Sergeant Steve Owen Memorial Park. The event features hundreds of poppy-related exhibits, performances and various activities.
27. Japan House Los Angeles (JHLA) presents Takeo Paper Show titled SUBTLE, an experimental exploration of paper, on view from April 13 through May 23, 2018. The exhibit will showcase innovative paper creations that will have you look at paper in an entirely different way. 29. The Inaugural Little Tokyo Mini Open will be held at the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center (JACCC) April 21, 22, 28, and 29 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The nine-hole mini golf course was designed by local artists who took inspiration from the past, present, an future of the neighborhood.

33. Art duo Dosshaus transforms the Corey Helford Gallery into a flop-house hotel from the 60’s made entirely of recycled cardboard hand painted to look like black & white illustrations. 38. Metro is offering free rides all day on Sunday, April 22, otherwise known as Earth Day. This applies to rail, buses and bike shares. FREE
39. CicLAvia is back for another round of open-streets biking, walking and exploring in different Los Angeles communities. This time they’ll focus on the Foothills beginning in San Dimas and continuing through La Verne and Pomona, the route will conclude in Claremont. FREE
40. Stop by Meet the Goats in Rancho Palos Verdes this Sunday for your chance to meet the goats of RPV! The unique meet and greet will feature educational sessions plus fun activities with the goats.

41. The 13th Annual Thai New Year Songkran Festival 2018 will be held in Hollywood’s Thai Town neighborhood this Sunday. One of the largest festivals in the Los Angeles area, this free 12-hour event will take place over six blocks of Hollywood Blvd between Western Avenue and Normandie Avenue. FREE
42. Visit the Pasadena Showcase House of Design, a majestic Mediterranean masterpiece built in 1915 and designed by distinguished architect Reginald Davis Johnson, from April 22-May 20. The tours have been going strong since 1948, it’s also one of the oldest, largest and most successful house and garden tours in the country.
43. Stash House, a new escape room in L.A. will allow you and your friends to get actively involved in a crime drama — with zero chance of going to prison. Happening all week.
44. Tocaya Organica Playa Vista will be hosting an open Green Day LA event on Earth Day to benefit Our Backyard Homes. Enjoy live music, a silent auction, raffle prizes, food and drinks to support the youth of LA’s homeless community. There’s a suggested donation of $20 to attend and all proceeds will go to support Our Backyard Homes, a non-profit organization creating low-footprint micro-homes for homeless college students.

46. The VOID’s virtual reality experience Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire is now open in the Glendale Galleria. The “hyper-reality” experience puts players in a 360 virtual world allowing them to touch, smell, and sensing their surroundings.
47. Check out Butterfly Season at Kidspace Children’s Museum now through May 4. Activities include daily butterfly exploration in the Stone Hollow Amphitheater.
