Los Angeles provides no limit of things to do, some awesome and some not so awesome. Since time is precious in this fast paced city, we decided to curate a list of things to do in Los Angeles every week end that’ll help you decide how you want to spend your limited supply of attention (not to mention dollars!).

This weekend (June 10 to June 12) includes your last chance to see the giant bunnies, the Great Horror Campout, Make Music Pasadena, a Cosplay Con, the Playboy Jazz Festival, Tacolandia, KCRW Summer Nights and LOTS more to choose from.

Friday June 10th, 2016

1. Giant Bunny Sculptures in DTLA 

Intrude is an acclaimed public installation created by Australian artist Amanda Parer featuring “monumental sculptural rabbits, each sewn in white nylon, inflated and internally lit.” The installations will be coming to Los Angeles June 5-11 as part of a four-city U.S. tour that kicked off in New York this April.

2. The Great Horror Campout

The Great Horror Campout is a 12 hour immersive horror camping experience at Elysian Park. We spotted discount tickets via Goldstar saving up to $50 off, while supplies last.

3. 42 screens at Skirball

Skirball Cultural Center’s monthly outdoor screening series Take Me Out to the Movies continues this June with a special screening of 42 complete with DJ’d music, ballpark themed snacks like cracker jacks and hot dogs, plus full access to the Skirball galleries. 4. Sanrio Take Over at Plan Check Kitchen + Bar

Starting this Friday, Plan Check Kitchen + Bar will be teaming up with Sanrio to celebrate two very cute characters Pompompurin and Chococat in an exclusive multi-course menu that’s set to run through Sunday, July 10. If you can get over the cuteness you can nosh on a Pompompurin grilled sandwich and a Chococat Cookie as part of the menu!

5. Barnsdall Park’s Friday Night Wine Tasting

All summer long Barnsdall Art Park has a weekly wine tasting fundraiser to benefit the Barnsdall Art Park Foundation programs and projects. Perched on a hill with a gorgeous panoramic view of Hollywood, guests will enjoy fine wine and art in the gardens of Frank Lloyd Wright’s architectural gem, Hollyhock House. Silver Lake Wine will curate fine selections of boutique, small production, artisanal wines for park-goers as well as local gourmet cheese shop, Say Cheese.

6. 2016 Beverly Hills Food & Wine Festival

7. LA PRIDE Music Festival and Parade

The 46th annual LA PRIDE Music Festival & Parade returns to West Hollywood June 10-12 for a three-day weekend featuring the largest largest LGBTQ ticketed event in the United States and of course Sunday’s public morning parade.

8. The Virus: An Immersive Escape Room Experience

A deadly virus has swept the earth and a team of scientists (played by you and other folks!) are in an underground laboratory trying to find a cure.  Sounds like your kind of mission?. 9. Free Grand Performances in DTLA

This Friday Grand Performances will screen Prejudice and Pride, episode 5 of the PBS series, Latino Americans: 500 Years of History with a discussion to follow.

Get up close with the ocean’s ultimate predators for FREE during Shark Lagoon Nights.

11. Hollywood Fringe Festival

14. Da FUNction!

Healthy food movement activist Ron Finley is headed to Vermont Square Library June 10-11 for his annual free community event called Da FUNction! featuring local artisans, performing artists, yoga, a hammock forrest, gangsta gardening, food trucks, a movie screening and much more.

15. Friday Night Jazz at LACMA

LACMA’s award winning Department of Music Program provides hundreds of free concerts and musical events every year for Angelenos to enjoy. This Friday their jazz series continues at the BP Grand Entrance.

16. Disney’s Alice Through the Looking Glass 3D, Plus Pre-Show at El Capitan Theatre

Join Alice, the Mad Hatter and the rest of the colorful characters in Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland sequel Alice Through the Looking Glass. The film will be shown in 3D, and you can come early for a pre-screening light show and to view the costumes and props from the movie. 19. Make Music Pasadena

With some 50,000 people are expected to attend Make Music Pasadena one of the largest free music festivals on the west coast. The all-day event will feature over 150 musical acts set to perform on six main stages and 30 smaller stages set up throughout Downtown Pasadena.

20. North Hollywood FREE Outdoor Movie Series

The International Film Festival North Hollywood is brining a lineup of free outdoor summer film screenings at parks throughout NoHo starting on Saturday, June 11. Kicking of the summer series is a screening of The Croods at Jaime Beth Slavin Park. Bonus: FREE popcorn.

21. Euro Bierfest at Alpine Village

The Euro Bierfest is an ode to beers and their European roots, enjoy 30+ pours in a variety of styles like Belgian sours, French ciders, English porters, and German doppelbocks the samples are unlimited.

23. FREE Public Star Party At The Observatory

See the Sun, Moon, Planets and constellations magnified for your pleasure with the powerful telescopes at the Griffith Observatory. Their popular (and free) monthly Public Star Party happens this Saturday outside on the lawn of the Observatory.

24. Street Food Cinema 

Street Food Cinema has three screenings this weekend: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off at Victory Park (discount tickets available via Goldstar), Monster’s Inc at Griffith Park and Jaws at King Gillette Ranch (discount tickets available via Goldstar).

25. Playboy Jazz Festival

26. Time Out LA’s Donut Party

Time Out Los Angeles is putting together a shindig featuring some of the best donuts in L.A. at the Avalon in Hollywood this Saturday. Guests will be able to enjoy sprinkle and frosted treats from an array of restaurants, bakeries and donut shops including ICDC, DK’s Donuts, The Church Key, Donut Farm, Spudnuts Donuts and more.

28. LA Weekly’s Tacolandia
LA Weekly’s fourth annual Tacolandia will take place on Saturday at El Pueblo de Los Angeles. This year the event will feature over 100 top taco vendors curated by the World’s First Tacorazzo, Bill Esparza. Guest will feast on unlimited gourmet tacos, enjoy a live mariachi band and grab a drink at the cash bar.

29. Last Remaining Seats Screens Some Like It Hot

Now in its 30th season, The Los Angeles Conservancy’s classic film screening series Last Remaining Seats returns to DTLA this Saturday with a month-long set of events showcasing our most historic movie venues in town. This weekend a screening of 1959 calssic Some Like It Hot at the Los Angeles Theatre ( built in 1931).

30. KCRW Summer Nights

It’s back! KCRW Summer Nights is a free music series popping up every week all over Los Angeles. This week head to One Colorado in Pasadena for a live performance by The Palms.

31. Free Uptown Jazz Festival Returns to Long Beach

Jazz tunes will take over Houghton Park in Long Beach for the annual Uptown Jazz Festival. In addition to the live music there will be a Kid’s Zone, food vendors, and a wine and beer garden at this free event.

32. Eat|See|Hear

Eat|See|Hear is back with a screening of Jurassic Park at the North Hollywood Recreation Center. Be sure to check for discount tickets for this event via Goldstar.

34. Off The Shelf: An Evening of Art and Music

View Park Library is currently closed for renovations and that’s the perfect excuse to throw a party! The library will host an art and music event prior to the commencement of construction. The event will take place this Saturday from 5-10p.m. with artists, live painting, spoken word, drum, dance, live music and more with Whole Foods Playa Vista providing food and refreshments throughout the night.

35. Rare Mid-Century Modern Architecture Homes of Palmer and Krisel Tour in the San Fernando Valley

The San Fernando Valley is home to mid-century modern architecture by Palmer and Krisel and this Saturday The Museum of the San Fernando Valley is inviting the public to explore some of these homes with an optional VIP cocktail event at Richard Neutra’s Baldwin House.

36. Malibu Country Mart Hosts Outdoor Summer Movie Series

The Malibu Country Mart will host their 4th annual Summer Movie Series with a screening of Pee Wee’s Big Adventure. Free for all ages to enjoy on the outdoor lawn!

37. 29th Annual Palos Verdes Street Fair & Music Festival

The Palos Verdes Street Fair & Music Festival takes place on June 11-12 kicks off summer season with carnival rides, food, live entertainment, crafts, shopping and more. Free and open to all ages, guests can enjoy the scenic hills of the festival ground as an added bonus.

38. Super Saturday Designer Shopping Fundraiser

Enjoy a fabulous day-long shopping event for a very important cause. Hosted by Rachel Zoe and Molly Sims, shop brands like Mr. Turk, Wildfox, Lauren Moshi, Jenni Kayne, Black Halo, Brighton Collectibles, UGG, NSF, Robert Graham & Michael Stars and more all at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica.

39. Santa Monica Hippodrome 100th Anniversary

In honor of the Hippodrome’s 100th birthday there will be a public celebration at the Santa Monica Pier featuring 5-cent carousel rides, apartment tours, and special ice cream treats.

40. Ranger Ernie Hike to Coolidge Trail

This Sundays hike level is intermediate. The distance is 4 mile the destination is Coolidge Trail. The hike begins at 8:00am. Get more information here.

41. Le Salon de Musiques Presents Stage Free Chamber Musical Experience, Champagne and High Tea at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion

Head down town to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion for an intimate musical experience where some of the finest musicians will play on the fifth floor stage-free and surrounded by guests. The annual summertime donation based/free concert series is back with live music and Enchanted, a new outdoor art exhibit featuring four site-based art installations. The event runs 5-7:30 p.m. at Peter Strauss Ranch.

45. Made in L.A. at The Hammer Museum

The Hammer will feature 26 emerging Los Angeles artists during the museum’s biennial.

46. Balboa Strawberry Festival

This free all-ages festival in Encino will feature strawberry themed food, desserts and drinks, plus kiddie games, rides, dancing and live music. Event will take place on Ventura Blvd from Balboa to Amestory from 10a.m. – 6 p.m.

47. Spring 2016 Patchwork Indie Arts & Crafts Festival 

Shop 200+ vendors at this arts & crafts fair taking place at Marine Stadium on Long Beach. Featuring clothing, accessories, home goods, jewelry, pet items, and more, the fair is FREE to attend and pet friendly too!

48. Dinosaurs: Unextinct at the L.A. Zoo

The L.A. Zoo will play host to some prehistoric residents. Come get up close and personal with 17 life-size animatronic dinosaurs some reaching almost 22 feet high and weighing close to 7,000 pounds. Additions to the new exhibit are a Fossil Dig, controllable Stegosaurus, climbable Pachyrhinosaurus, and a free 3-D augmented reality app. Tickets cost $5 the exhibit will run till October 31st.

49. Kali Yoga At Bootleg Theatre

The Bootleg Theatre in Echo Park is offering one hour long yoga classes with Kali Yoga every Wednesday and Sunday for just $10 a class. Updates,schedules and an indie rock instrumental playlist for the classes can be found here. They’re also offering a bring a friend get half off for both yogis which breaks down to just $5 each person!
