Back in August we reported that a Star Wars-style pop-up cantina was headed to Hollywood. We didn’t know at the time exactly how much it cost or when it would be debuted, but more details have emerged including a set date for online tickets to be sold.
Scum and Villainy Cantina, as the pop-up is called, will be located somewhere in the heart of Hollywood (90028 zip code) and is now estimated to be opening in the Spring of 2017.

The pop-up describes itself as a experience that “transports you into a fully immersive environment where you drink, eat, and hang out as if you were in a galaxy far away. If you’ve got the credits, we’ll serve your kind here… just make sure to leave your droids at home,” according to the cantina’s official website. The expected tavern crowd will include plenty of costumed characters as well as customers who are strongly encouraged to dress up for the occasion.
Tickets go on sale starting Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 10 a.m. The price? A cool $50 (plus fees). According to the official event website each ticket gets you two drinks of your choice, a souvenir pint glass, Scum and Villainy challenge coin, a few extra surprises, and “two hours of the most immersive galactic scenery this far into the outer-rim.”
All I can say is that for $50 it better be pretty darn immersive!

Here’s another catch: Even by purchasing tickets tomorrow you still can’t lock down a specific time. According to to the ticketing page “you are reserving your place in a virtual line for selecting your time and date of attendance. Our goal is to begin specific date and time ticketing starting in early January 2017…”
Once those ticket reservations are divided, it looks like you’ll get a 2-hour reservation at one of a few set time slots: 6 to 8 p.m. or 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. on weeknights night, or from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. According to the tavern’s Facebook Page, priority of specific reservation times is granted based on date and time of ticket purchase. The sooner you buy, the better your place in line.
Walk-in hours will between 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. and will not include drink tickets, glass, or challenge coin for re-entry.
And… just a thought here… it’s probably going to be a bit crowded.
