NHM Commons, the Natural History Museum’s new community hub, just opened this past November. One of the crown jewels of the expanded space is a 400-seat theater that offers a home for special programming and screenings. Enter: Green Screen: Our Planet on Film
To mark the 10th anniversary of City Nature Challenge, the NHM’s Green Screen series presents a trio of films exploring environmental issues from local and global perspectives. Each film sparks thoughtful discussion on sustainability and conservation, and will include a post-film Q&A and reception. And it’s all free to the public! The lineup features Nocturnes (a Sundance World Cinema Documentary nominee) on April 10, Manzanar, Diverted: When Water Becomes Dust (Presented in partnership with Visual Communications and the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival) on April 17, and, Earth Focus (Presented in partnership with PBS SoCal) on April 24
